Kevin Keegan Launches Vicious Attack On Mike Ashley

Kevin Keegan has written an autobiography called ‘My Life In Football,’ and he has attacked Newcastle owner Mike Ashley in the book.

There are some quotes today in the Sun from Keegan about the Newcastle owner he worked for in 2008 for only eight months before he walked out in early September of that year.

That was because the Director of Football Dennis Wise had brought in two players he didn’t know were even arriving.

Let’s just say it’s clear Keegan has absolutely no time for Mike Ashley.

Here are some comments from Kevin in the Sun today from his autobiography:

“They (Mike Ashley and company) have made a toy out of Newcastle.”

“As much as it pains me to say it, I have no desire to be associated with the place for as long as that continues.”

“I will gladly return when they have gone.”

“I look forward to the day when Newcastle is free of the man who has lurched from one bad decision to another.”

“He’s run an empire of self-harm and handed money and power to people who deserved neither.”

“I don’t want to share my oxygen with these people.”

The two players Dennis Wise had brought in were Spanish striker Xisco and Uruguayan Ignacio Gonzalez on loan – both became disastrous signings for the club.

Go on Kevin lad, you tell ’em.

This seems like perfect timing to help keep the Ashley Out campaign in the public glare. A cynic would say the publishers have spotted an opportunity to gain the book maximum publicity.

Neither of the above is exclusive of the other, I hope the book is successful and it helps us get rid of the chubby one in the longer term.

    Ashley Out!

Ed may consider that a vicious attack
but it’s clear he’s had pretty strict legal
advice about what he should say just to
    cover his arse.

There’s nothing new or revelatory in his
    comments

Robleenio is correct in saying it’s a bit of
bandwagon jumping by his publishers –
good luck to him he could probably do
    with the dosh.

    It’s never MAs fault
I like to read the blogs on here a couple of times a day.The Ashley extremest’s the moderates the ones who want him dead jokingly I hope. What I’m not keen on are the repeating ists.Make your point then say something different.I have to wade through a lot of drivil to find some gems.Well it’s not really drivil it’s just it’s the same stuff over and over ad infinitum.

i’d say keegan was spitting out the dummy if we’d employed a competent director of football with experience and a proven track record, but wise had no qualifications for the job and furthermore was already hated in the north east as well as most other places. ashleys decision making has cost us a lot more than the fact he hasn’t pumped millions into the club. wise charnley carver mcclaren pardew kinnear, sacking hughton. i know ashley didnt have anything to do with mcclaren but he chose the fool that chose the wally.

I missed out on commenting on the Kenedy story yesterday, saying he was looking forward to going back to Chelsea.

In reality, what else was he supposed to say? “I’ve no intention of ever going back to Chelsea where I’ll never get a game. I intend to force through a move to NUFC and stay working with Rafa, as long as he can sort his contract out and get the club moving forward again.”

The lad is in a false position where if he talks up the Toon and Rafa too much, he’ll end up burning his bridges to Chelsea where he may need to return if Rafa doesn’t stick around. He’s not daft and we shouldn’t read too much into what he says to a Brazilian newspaper during an international break.

that’s an urban myth that Ashley had nothing to do with appointing McClaren nothing goes through the club without his approval

This is Kevin’s way of backing the campaign to get rid of GREEDY COCK-ney. It’s pity that the likes of KK and Shearer can’t get some sort of consortium together to buy this parasite out. Surely they still enough clout to do this !

Couldn’t have put it better myself, cheap digs to promote a response. The fact is in relation to the Keegan and Ashley saga there will never be anything new. It came out in the court case that Ashley is a lying deceiptful cancerous Twat!. ASHLEY admitted some of the claims Keegan made at his staged interview. Its old news but it still hurts! Keegans not perfect like Rafa but they love the club, end off.

Of course KK is recycling old news, but why wouldn’t he if it sells his book?
Anyway, when the original story broke, at least half of the pundits didn’t believe him as he had a reputation for spitting his dummy out, but now the world and his dog knows what Ashley is like!
