The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #1Jail…this has nothing to do with the Pardew season! This has nothing to do with Pardew at all…
The only thing you could compare is poor football is no fun for anyone season after season…
…players want more! It’s their career!

Comment #2Jesper, catchy do you honestly believe that most of players rafa has brought to the club are either 1st,2nd or even 3rd choice?? The team is thread bare with any quality going back years ya fools other prem teams fork out 20mill plus for 1 player whereas rafa is asked to bulk squad out with similar kind of figure if you can’t see its lack of funding going back to beginning of Ash your blind or up his shitter

There are comparisons is all I’m saying. Players who busted a gut to finish fifth being told tenth will do this time. Players who slogged all year to finish a very respectable tenth being given a message that 17th will do this time. It doesn’t work.

Comment #4I don’t really get the drama, we were just as poor last season as we are now.
We fluked results in some games last season, we will probably do the same this season

If the players want more as it’s their career then then there’s a few from yesterday who need a change of careers

Comment #6Tino…they were on his list and I am sure you have absolutely no idea what number they were. Am I right?
Rondon seems to be his second choice after Plea. Fernandez was he best signing. What choice was he?
We can also discuss those we reluctantly didn’t get which seemed high on his list.
Then there’s also the fact that it’s no use constructing a list with players which are:
a) not within our budget
b) won’t come here
You cannot blame the one you want to blame for that…
Maybe we are just poor at scouting and finding players within our budget…although that’s the reality for most managers on the continent!

Comment #7If our top quality LB was injured it would show signs of a decent squad if Dummet was cover, he might even raise his game so much that he keeps the first choice out, same with Yedlin. When Rafa told us the future was bright I don’t think he’d been given the true picture and most definitely wouldn’t have thought both Yedlin and Dummet would be first choice full backs with Dummet having no cover at all.

Comment #11Rockefella Capital Management eh.
If the Yanks are involved it will be with borrowed money. What they call a leveraged buy out.
Think Hicks and Gillette.
Ashley is going to take as much out as he can and the past year demonstrates that. No spend on players, no spend of Sky money, perhaps as much as 100M.
There could well be some deal where future Sky money and parachute payments are promised to Ashley. They could even take over Ashley’s debt to the club.
Having said that would they be daft enough to give him any money on that basis. If it’s a shot to nothing and they only have to find 100M then probably yes.

Gayle wasn’t very good last year was he. In an ideal world he would have been allowed to keep Gayle and a new striker. We’re being run in to the ground ready for the scrap man and it looks like the players know it.

Comment #13January is possibly too late to turn this around. This squad will do well to reach 10 points by then. We got outplayed by Cardiff and a poor Leicester. Palace looked like Madrid against us. Even the guys on here who constantly big up our poor signings must now realize how little quality we have.

Lazaar, the player Rafa paid 4 million for.
Sorry, but he’s made some dreadful decisions on transfers.

Comment #18Rondon should have had Doumbia and Slimani written all over it to anyone with any sense whatsoever.
Rafa has been complaining for the last 4 transfer windows.
But, he’s still here picking up 120K a week.
I don’t know. I can’t possibly know, but I am starting to suspect that he is here and simply doing Ashley’s bidding.
Keeping the supporters on board while Ashley runs down the club and takes money out.

Comment #19if the players are as pissed off as some on here are suggesting the word would get out.
its not just one thing that’s wrong or one person that’s getting it wrong its the whole set up within the club the very infrastructure of the club is rotten,
till Ashley goes nothing can/will change he’s the common denominator in every problem our club is going through
which ever god you pray to now’s the time for to have a few words that this takeover is true,

Comment #20Let’s face it, the only thing that could save us from more of the same is if we get taken over. If we manage to stay up this year do you think Ashley is going to change his business model regarding us. It’ll be just another year of TV money before the next incumbent takes us down. Just get it out of the way now.

As I said I don’t and can’t know. Perhaps he did not start with that specific intent.
Perhaps one thing has led to another.
However, I have had enough of this Saint and Sinner nonsense.
Rafa is working to the budget set by Ashley, the ethos set by Ashley, the perameters set by Ashley, with the people put in place by Ashley and uses the processes put in place by Ashley.
As I say he is still here.

I think the players are totally sick. They look like a relegation outfit.
In April we out played Leicester at their place. Remember we competed for every ball.
Tackles flying in etc.
Compare that to now.
Could be many reasons. New players are no improvement etc. Gayle forced out for a no hoper like Rondon etc.
But this is the real reason I think. Why did we try so hard for promotion. Remember that great night when we won the Championship in the last 5 Mins of the season. Why did we try so hard last year to stay up, remember the game in Feb I think it was at home to Man U. Why did we do all that just for this.
That’s how I feel and I think the players will as well.

It’s the same lie as last year
At just about the exact same date too lol
How many more years are we going to have to not compete and exsist as nothing more than an advert ?
The whole cycle of lies over and over again
Rafa, the players the whole club is irrelevant so long as Ashley owns us
I find I utterly bizzare any fan who can’t see it

Comment #39Our players tend to stay close to the ones they are marking to prevent counter attacks, this also causes a problem for when we have the ball as we don’t have players in space.
It’s understandable when your players are ‘ not as good as the opposition’ and the passing stats prove this. We give the ball away too much, they then counter on us. We also lack pace in the team bar probably Dummet and Yedlin, even Kenedy is no flyer.
Watching MOTD earlier and I can see why Perez was not awarded a penalty but I also did not realise Joselu had as long as he did before Maguire tackled him. I thought at the time Jo’s was unlucky. How wrong I was.
