This Could Be Newcastle’s Strongest Side Against Red Devils

We are assuming the two defenders who didn’t make the game last week against Leicester with slight injuries – Paul Dummett and Federico Fernandez – will both be fit to start in the late game at Old Trafford tomorrow afternoon.

With Manchester United making their worst ever start in the Premier League we must have a decent enough chance of taking something from this game.

But we will have to do better and show more confidence, spirit, and resilience than last Saturday against the Foxes if we are to do that.

With Dummett and Fernandez now fit the defense more or less picks itself:

Shelvey Diame
Ritchie Perez Kenedy

We almost put Yoshinori Muto in the number 10 spot in place of Perez, and that will happen soon.

But with the tough game at Old Trafford, we expect Rafa Benitez to keep the hard-working Perez in the starting lineup because of the amount of work he can get through in the game tomorrow.

Maybe not a good enough reason to keep him in the team?

And we’re looking forward to Rafa’s press conference in about 30 minutes time and wonder if he will say anything about the meeting with Mike Ashley on Wednesday evening at the Rialto Restaurant in Ponteland.

Our fans are not confident we will be able to take anything out of the game tomorrow.

But we need to start showing up for these games, and hopefully, our lads will put in an excellent fighting performance before the long two-week International break.

What would your starting team be for tomorrow?
