Rafa – We Want To Put Smiles On Fans’ Faces With A Good Result

It’s a game like today that if Newcastle play poorly and lose (again), we will feel really sorry for the traveling Newcastle fans.

After each game, the players and Rafa always go over to the fans who have made the journey to support their team, but this season some of our performances away from home have not been good.

We have not done well at Old Trafford over the years, and today a draw would be an excellent result for us.

A win would be unbelievable, but to win we have to score a goal.

And that’s proved very difficult this for us this season, having scored only four goals in our seven league games.

Rafa Benitez with the Newcastle fans

However, Rafa is always aware of the traveling fans at an away game.

The manager will impress on the players they have to do well in front of our loyal (and very brave) Geordie fans.

This is what Rafa has said in the Chronicle today:

“My experience with our away fans is so good.”

“But I would like to reward them with a good result.”

“That was the case last season away from home and the season before.” “We want to put smiles on their faces.”

“We know that they are behind us.” “These players care.”

“They make mistakes and may not have confidence but they are doing their best.”

I would take a defeat as long as we put in a shift – create some chances and put pressure on them instead of sitting back soaking up pressure!!!

You want to “put smiles on their faces” this weekend Rafa?
How about getting your team to attempt some attacking the opposition? That would be a nice start.
Unfortunately can only see another defeat and that fabulous players’ holiday to Weston Super Mare funded by the magnificently benevolent Ashley getting further away.

If we play narrow at the back (like normal) their wingers are going to have a field day – a 5-3-2 with WBs would help but not really Rafas style or available within the squad

Anyway i was looking at some fines in football in comparison to the £60k find Rafa got. Other countries get fined less for racism, our own FA although gave Suarez 8 game ban, they only fined Suarez £40k for the racial abuse of evra.

Pardew got a one game touchline ban and fined £20k for PUSHING an official. Not words, actually pushing an official.

Mourinho got fined £50k for saying officials are scared of give his team penalties in 2015.

David moyes for threatening to slap a female journalist. £20k.

    I can keep going lol.

Moral of the story, don’t praise referee. Either threaten physically, actually physically do something or even racially abuse others. Just don’t praise a referee when other teams players and managers are tying to pressurise them into giving more favourable decisions.

I’m with the 70% on this one. I can’t remember ever thinking we have no chance in a game, but the way the team is playing, with confidence so low, with two shots per game, there can be only one result.

Well two, really. 0-0 or, take your pick on the first digit. I think it will be a three.

I hope that we give it a right go. Lift spirits, give them a scare, give us hope, even if it’s for a while.

well Rafa, a good result is only losing 2-1 like most of your games, because let’s face it, it’s better than losing 3-1
