Alan Shearer – Newcastle Brilliant In First Half Yesterday

Alan has complained there was a clear handball following a Jonjo Shelvey free kick in yesterday’s game at Old Trafford.

It was a blatant penalty so how come referee Anthony Taylor didn’t give it?

Hopefully next season we will have the Virtual Assistant Referee (VAR) in place for the games and these foolish decisions will be taken out of the game.

What were the assistant referees doing?

Alan Shearer – Newcastle should have had a penalty

This is what Alan said on BBC’s Match of the Day last night:

“It was a great game of football – Newcastle were brilliant in the first half. I’m not over it yet!”

“The current perception of this Manchester United team – well Newcastle summed it up.”

“They played Chelsea and Manchester City were quite content to get eleven men behind the ball, sit deep and dig in.”

“They lined up with two up front today and they went after Manchester United.”

“They went straight after them from the first whistle and were very impressive. Manchester United were all over the place – they conceded two goals from throw-ins.”

“It was a different Manchester United in the second half.”

“Anthony Taylor made a terrible decision which was a game-changing decision. It was a clear handball.”

“He doesn’t even look at him, the referee. It’s a clear handball and he doesn’t even look at it.”

“He can’t even give the corner because he’s not looking at it.”

You cannot say the Gods have been on Newcastle’s side this season.

We have had only one penalty so far this term season, but we missed that one and lost 2 points because of it at Cardiff.

All these first eight games are behind us now, and they have been challenging.

But we must look forward to better things ahead

We don’t play a top-six side again until we play Liverpool at Anfield on Boxing Day.

Hopefully, we can have quite a few points on the board by then.

Aye, it was a complete game changer, not only did it prevent them from going 0-3 at half time it gave them belief that it was their night and not ours. We were in it all the way and still had chances, in fact Atsu was in a great position before losing the ball which lead to their equaliser, not obsessing here but Rafa wanted the 13M Townsend, we ended up with the 7M Atsu, would that have made a difference.

Morning all I’ve got to say I’ve heard some delusional sh1te in my time but some of you last night are off the chart. We call ourselves the best fans in the world and then spout complete and utter bollocks. It’s just bitch and moan regardless of results.
Rafa has got things wrong this season of that there is no doubt, but fcuk me. Yesterday he brings a defender or midfielder and you plebs criticising him would’ve lost your shit, saying typical Rafa he’s parking the bus. He brings attackers on world class Rafa my ars3 he’s opened us up to be beaten. Absolute disgrace. Criticise when it’s due not every week regardless of situation. We went to old Trafford and played them off the park for the majority and me as a fan was proud as fcuk.
We lost to the crappest arsenal team ever apparently but guess what arsenal are just going about there business and keep winning. So can’t be that crap. No matter who it is some fans think we should beat them. Sorry but some of you are just idiots

    Munster,
I see fellow Rafa basher, fair and balanced critic and your shining beacon to what a clever poster is showed all the signs of being fair and well balanced yesterday. Charlie in the Gallowgate was foaming and spitting about Rafa not bringing defenders on, he was foaming and spitting the last time we did. Meh!!!

catchy was seething so much at 0-2 all he had to say was Muto should have started last week, the manager has said he’s not up to speed yet, we didn’t sign him until August the second, a whole month after Japan were knocked out, if he was on the radar he could have been with us at least a couple of weeks sooner.

2 nil up after 70 minutes.
It has to Cashleys fault we ended up losing right?
Or was it the crap substitutions and the defensive set up?
It could not be the managers fault could it?
We defend and then put two useless lightweight forwards on and expect them to defend. That must be Ashleys fault.
By the way those two useless forwards cost 20 million. It must be Cashleys fault.

    Repost..Ed on rapid fire

    Cnob
Don’t let facts get in the way will you? At no point did I say Joselu should be playing instead of anyone. I pulled you up for relentless, repetitive daily abuse of one of our own players since the day he signed.. Wether he plays or not. A player who may not be up to our expectations but who has put in effort in whenever called upon.
I am just going to ignore you, you are simply a clueless troll. You are quite capable of showing yourself up all on your own.

You think ‘analysis’ is a niche porn flick

    Atsu’s fairly getting it tight!!
When we took him on loan we all thought this guy’s great. Never heard one complaint when he signed a full contract. He isn’t match fit.
Rafa is damned no matter what he does.

Ashley is at fault, only spent 1mil since 2017, anyone who can’t see that is deluded.
With the Media circus that follows Newcastle, i’d not want to play, manage or be involved with this club.
An owner who doesn’t give a toss making Rafa dig in the bargain basement. I’m almost ready to throw tbe towel in until Ashlley get’s out of our club. Stay up and he’ll give them an all expenses paid holiday, probably from Icelolly . Com. The guy’s a clown and shouldn’t be anywhere near a Football club
