Two of the positives that came out of our heartbreaking defeat at Old Trafford last time out was the form of both Kenedy and Muto, the two goalscorers.
Kenedy showed he can get back into the form he showed last season and Muto showed he can score some goals for Newcastle, which is why Rafa bought him in the summer for £9.5M from Mainz.
Muto looked good and he will soon be a popular player on Tyneside, and he is a hard worker on the pitch.
He works his socks off for the team and he seems a Rafa kind of player.
Muto and Kenedy celebrate Newcastle’s second goal at Old Trafford
The Japanese International is keen to improve his game on Tyneside and who better to help him do that than Rafa Benitez,
This is what Rafa has said about Muto in the Chronicle today:
“Muto is an overseas player.” “We expected him to make a difference and yeah he will.”
“He has to improve his English but the understanding with the team-mates is there.”
“His work-rate is magnificent.”
“Every training session he is closer to starting games.”
“Hopefully he can give us what we need which is a bit of pace and to be more dynamic in attack.”
There is some doubt about Muto and his injury.
But we hope that both Kenedy and Muto, who were both taken off in the second half at Old Trafford with slight injuries, will be ready to start against Brighton tomorrow at St. James’ Park.
We need a win in that game.

Comment #1I do hope Chris Hughton has a brain fart tomorrow, god, not just as fans of NUFC but fans of football. We really need a win for the city.

Comment #2I imagine that any conversations between Ashley and the Saudis would, at some stage, take place in a Saudi embassy somewhere !!!

DubaiMickey marries into an mega rich family in the East ( and I don’t mean Whitley Bay) and returns triumphantly to SJP as our new exalted leader.
NUFC gets some investment.
Rafa stays.
Dubai picks the team.
Maybe rethink the last point but otherwise it makes sense.
