Newcastle scouts have been watching Francois Kamano, the Guinea and Bordeaux winger who has scored 10 goals for his club this season.
Newcastle’s number one targets this January is players who can score goals since are still finding that difficult this season.
We have scored only 9 goals in 12 league games so far this season.
One bright spot for Newcastle was the excellent performance of on-loan striker Salomon Rondon last Saturday against Bournemouth when he scored two terrific goals.
Francois Kamano –
Kamano has been in excellent form this season and has scored 10 goals in 22 total appearances for his club; that includes 3 goals in 9 appearances in the Europa League.
Kamano made his professional debut with Bastia back in August 2014, and he was transferred to Bordeaux in July 2016.
At that time Kamano signed a four-year contract with Bordeaux for a reported transfer fee was €2.5M plus bonuses.
His contract now has only 19 months to run, and we assume Rafa will be hoping to get a decent deal for the winger in January.

Comment #1Rob, yes Almiron looks lightweight as you said, but think about players like Hazard and Mata.
Not talking big lads but still manage to turn a game on its head, Owen and Fowler were not big lads and they had to play against people like Tony Adams. Honestly, I think its all about what a player thinks in his head and not how big the opposition is. Speed and talent will always beat big and strong players if you can’t catch them you cannot hit them.
It’s like two people standing in the jungle, they both spot the tiger and they both realize they don’t need to outrun the tiger, they just have to outrun the other person.

Comment #3Hazard is strong as a bull the comparison should have been Modric who looks weak but is far to clever for other players as was Juninho
