Benitez Unhappy With Kenedy – Why He Could Terminate Loan In January

Rafa Benitez has lashed out at Mike Ashley today in an attempt to get funds to strengthen the Newcastle side.

Rafa seems concerned that we could still end up relegated this season.

And with our next four games being against Liverpool, Watford, Manchester United and Chelsea we could sink quickly in the league table by mid-January.

Rafa is decisive, and there is a possibility that if Kenedy’s form doesn’t improve soon, the manager could end his loan spell in January and send him back to Chelsea.

Kenedy with Rafa Benitez – Brazilian’s form has been poor

This is what Rafa has said in the Chronicle today about Kenedy:

“It is true that he is not playing at the level of last year, and sometimes players have confidence when they are doing things.”

“He told me the other day that he knew he was not playing well and these mistakes mean that he loses a bit of confidence.”

“We tried to explain to him that the only way to change that is to carry on, and hopefully he will do that.”

“He will stay?; at the moment, I think so.”

One reason Rafa may consider sending Kenedy back is so he can bring in another player on loan from the English leagues for the rest of the season.

In Rondon and Kenedy we currently are at the limit of two loans.

We are now five points clear of the bottom three, six if we include goal difference.

But we have some very tough games coming up before February where it will be tough to pick up points.

We play Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City before the end of January.

🙁

Rafa’s tone indicates he knows no sale, no transfer money. It’s amazing the people on here who want rafa to play champagne football with one of the cheapest and worst squads possibly ever seen at SJP.

People say o Rafa you need a number 10, you need a forward. Do you really think he doesnt know that.
1.5M Hayden and 4M Diame against Keita and Fabinho on Wednesday. Those are the cards rafa has been dealt by Ashley.
As shearer said ” what position does HOF play ”

Kenedy has proved to completely brainless this time round. Maybe better loans to be had from Chelsea or elsewhere. Still we have Ritchie to lose the ball and foul the person he gave it away to.

“Joe Sophistication”, ha! superb. I’m gonna start using that myself in real life. You know, hotel and restaurant reservations. That type of thing.

    Rotonda,
I still think if we’d bought Kenedy he’d be a different player, just my opinion of course and I could well be wrong. He knows Chelsea don’t rate him and that Mikey won’t splash out the money for him, he’s just had a bairn and doesn’t know where he’s going to be.

I don’t agree jail. Kenedy will never become a good footballer. I don’t think he has it mentally.

A miracle RAFA says we need to stay up
But hang on he’s world class surely even with the useless no marks in his squad he is good enough to get 4th bottom
That’s what our RAFA lovers on here have been preaching better than 4th bottom even top half the kiss arses have been saying
It just goes to show that the sheep on here are just that brain dead Muppets who wing it every week and don’t know football from there arse
I and a few others on here knew he was u s and would come up with any excuse he could think of
He had money and he blew it on 2nd raters
    His tactics stink
His subs are ridiculous at the wrong times
And he is one of the worst managers statistically in the premier league this club have had
    ASH IN RAFA IN

would have to agree his chelsea contract actually runs out in 2020, so it will be hard for him to focus if he does not see a settled future ahead of him. £9m is more his level at the current time.

How many wingers do we actually have:
    Atsu
    Ritchie
    Kenedy
    Murphy
    Aarons
    Lazaar
and a few in the Academy.

Can any of them provide width, get past a man and provide a cross?
modern football seems to rely on width coming from the WB whos main job is at the opposite end of the pitch and the wingers have become either out to in attackers or wide midfielders.

Just whilst I am on the subject, whilst I have never thought Atsu was a top top player and probably more of an attacker than a winger, he is improving through being given games. The majority of fans need to be reminded that most players can not just start playing great without game time.

However, I would like to see Rafa use some of the Academy players to provide competition for places and give a little bit of naive impetus to our attacks. But he can not when trying to force the ‘board’ to buy in new players.

Lindisfarne, Acedemy players, never going to happen, has he ever seen them play ? He can only manage 15 players at a time hence why his team selection and substitutes are always the same. Sport is about winners and losers, winners play to win, losers play not to get beaten and until that mentality changes at the Toon nothing will change. Even poor players / teams need to be winners sometimes or at least show or be encouraged that they can be.

See the Chronicle and this blog are going on about whether Rafa should send Kennedy back to Chelsea or not, as he is not performing the way he did last season. If that’s the case after last Saturday we should send the whole lot back to where they came from.
Rafa, I think its time you had a little look at yourself and your team selection, in Kennedy’s case he should be on the left wing, with the ball played in front of him – does it happen, NO. What did Ritchie or Atsu bring to the game on Saturday, Ritchie could not clear the first man at corners, and he is far better cutting in from the right onto his left foot then having a go. As for Atsu well sorry to say but it was exactly nothing, and he cost £10 million.
Please Rafa, take the shackles off the team, get them running, and looking for the ball, Lascelles showed in one 10 second burst in the second half a bit of desire – so its there.
By the way Rafa wheres the confidence building in saying ‘It will be a miracle if we survive relegation’, who’s going to be interested in a buying a club where the manager is saying that.

    Stop talking nonsense Rotonda.

    Get out of Benitez’s arse!

Diame and Hayden are cards he was dealt?

Oh, so it’s not the issue of needing a creative number 10 since Rafa has been here?

About the 20M+ he wasted on Muto and Murphy?

Why didn’t he use the money he spent on those to address the issue?

    Stop making excuses for him.

Kennedy is a dead horse. He dribbles in impossible situations and invariably loses the ball. I’m sure Chelsea would love to get rid of him permanently, he’ll never play for them.
