Rafa Benitez has basically lashed out at Mike Ashley in an attempt to get some financial help next month to strengthen the Newcastle side.
Rafa has said it will be a miracle for Newcastle.to survive in the Premier League this season.
The message is directly meant for Mike Ashley, and since this could well be the last transfer window for Rafa at Newcastle, he is doing his very best to get Mike Ashley to help him strengthen the side.
He is trying to build a good team at Newcastle, and for nearly three years now Rafa has been stopped at every step of the way by the frugal owner.
But Mike Ashley is not interested in building a top side at Newcastle.
It’s completely ridiculous.
Rafa Benitez – frustrations at Newcastle are boiling over
This is some of Rafa sais as quoted in the Mirror today:
“Even if we strengthen in January it will be a miracle if we stay up. I think everyone knows what we have to do.”
“Does Mike Ashley know? I hope so.”
“We are doing what we have to do and now we wait to see what will happen.”
“We have the targets, the names, so we have to do what we have to do.”
“I am trying to tell everyone, realize where we are. Realize what we have to do and if we do well, fine we can finish 10th or whatever.”
“If we think we can beat these teams that have spent £100M, every one of them, every game, there is no chance. We are wrong, 100%.”
“We can try make things happen in January, we will see what happens. It would be a miracle to stay up, yes.”
“For me it is very clear. I know what is coming now and I know where we are.”
“You can see the team is trying a lot of things but still it is not enough to get the points. It will be like that.”
“If we are under pressure and feel this pressure we will not be better and we can make more mistakes.”
Rafa’s frustrations at Newcastle are boiling over, but this is what he has to do to try to save Newcastle and have us still be a Premier League club in May.
As I said it’s ridiculous, and we are hoping that Mike Ashley will sell the club quickly.
But we don’t know if that’s going to happen before next summer when Rafa could well have left the club.
