Tottenham 1 Newcastle 0 – 10 Minute Video Highlights

Here are the highlights of the game today which Newcastle lost due to a bad mistake by goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

Otherwise, it was another outstanding defensive display from the Magpies and Rondon headed against the post.

With a little luck we could have drawn this game – and with more luck, we could even have won it.

Newcastle played extremely well again but the mistake cost us dearly this afternoon.

If we can get Almiron running at defenders I feel some teams will see a different NUFC within the next few weeks.

Good effort today. We were playing a top 4 side, point would of been great!

We have a better run of games coming up I think, next 5?

We didn’t get humiliated, have 3 more points than I thought we would from spuds n city, nice run coming up and almrion to come in!

    Lascelles was impeccable today.
    MOTM for me
I believe the boys were tired though. Particularly Big Sal, Atsu, Ayoze and Hayden
We are normally more competitive in midfield than we were today
They were able to bring the ball into our final third with far too much ease

    goals from open play
nufc 13,, in 17th place, strangely Leicester C are in 18th with 12.

we are set up as a counter attack team, yet we have scored only 1 from a counter attack, we are 17th, but you could put us in joint 10th as there is 8 teams with 1 goal from a counter attack, but like i said we set up as a counter attack team.

Crosses per game, joint 5th with chelsea and Man U,, very strange stat, who are we really crossing to?

5% of our goals are in the 6yd box 18th best here
    53% in the 18yd box 13th best
42% outside the box joint 15th best.

playing in our own third,, 31% joint worst,,
opposition third 28% joint second best again, Brighton worst on both,, but strangely wolves tied with us on 28%.

another strange stat, both Man C and Arsenal have conceded 4 own goals

I thought Perez was good today, he appears to be more effective as a right winger, there was one part showing him beating two spurs players with sublime skill that particularly stood out.

I would give Kenedy some slack and let’s see if he gets his mojo back, he is still a young lad and don’t think it would take too long for him to replicate his form last season.

Feeling very confident the team will start to move up the league, esp with the two young players brought in.

Overall not too disappointed with today.

Longstaff and Hayden were immense today. Just wish Hayden change his mind and stay. Can see these two doing well and becoming established in the team.

One player from the academy and a 2m player dominating the cd positions for years to come.

Longstaff has been impressive. Talk about a baptism of fire! Some nice goes at long range passing, couple didn’t come off. But overall great motm for me today!
