Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In 1-0 Defeat To Spurs?

At the end of the day, it was all very disappointing.

After our lads had played magnificently and kept the score to 0-0 with just 7 minutes to go in the game at Wembley against Spurs, it was goalkeeper Duvravka who made just a horrific error that gifted Tottenham a goal.

Son hit the ball straight at the Newcastle goalkeeper but the ball was dipping and Dubravka somehow let the ball pass through him and into the back of the net.

It was a cruel blow to a hard-working and very well organized Newcastle side who again showed some terrific defending against a top three side.

Tottenham players celebrate their a late goal

But we did have a little luck in the win against Man City and we took 3 points out of these two games.

If we had two draws we would be on a high now.

But we still should have had the point today.

We have only two top six clubs to meet in the final 13 games of the season – Arsenal away and Liverpool at home.

We can win the rest!

An unfortunate mistake from the keeper who has been excellent since his arrival at the club.

The whole team played well. There were no passengers.

The tactics and formation is now clearly established. The addition of Almiron (especially) and Barreca should provide a greater attacking edge to a disciplined defence.

Longstaff for me, what a talent. Perez had a good game, as did Lascelles and Hayden.

Just wish Perez could choose when to place and when to just smash the ball.

Yedlin has lost some form in my opinion, got beaten quite a few times today and a daft yellow card.

    Haha catchy.

What is this strange obsession you have with my sexuality?

Some might suggest that you’re hiding in that closet.

Onto football, I picked lascelles as a potential candidate because he was fantastic. Constantly in the right position and cleaning up a lot of errors that were made by schar at the end.

If your point had any truth then I would have said schar for man of the match because he’s fit.

Can’t really criticise any of the lads Today. We were very close to getting a very hard earned point only for a very unfortunate goal and despite the howler I’m not going to slate Dubravka, he’s won us enough points in the past.

Surprisingly decent performance from Ayoze, some lovely footwork from the lad at times and kept running so fair play to him.

Barreca only had a few minutes of action but one thing I noticed was he looks very quick and attack minded so he could give us something different down the left.

All in all a disappointing result but can’t really criticise the performance, we were narrowly beaten by a very good Spurs side and one mistake was the difference.

    Onto the next!

Dubravka has made a couple of bollicks but with the amount of defensive pressure him and the back 4/5 have been under all season 2 mistakes is nowt…im sure he’s saved a hell of a lot points then he’s lost….dust ya sell down dubs and start again….cant really complain about the performance to much, need to be sharper and more ruthless in front of goal, and braver to play more and shoot but spurs are a champions league side so have to take that into consideration, good graft lads, unlucky tho….on we go.

so your not in the once you go black you dont go back camp haha.

i definitely question your knowledge on football, Lascelles has terrible positioning, he is always last man out, when as captain he should be leading the line and pulling the others out. today, he let sanchez go, who had a free header, he clattered into Ritchie, when Ritchie had control of what was happening see the ball back to the keeper, 9 times out of ten, he passes backwards or sideways, he cannot seem to kick a ball and judge the distance it will go, both schare and lejeune manage that just fine, captn just lashes his foot though it. here is a reason why he was voted 4th best CB on this site, but it seems to be a dirty little secret hahah
