Rafa Benitez is obsessed with football, and the game is never far from his mind.
That’s one reason he’s such a popular manager on Tyneside the Newcastle fans share his obsession for the game of football.
Rafa works a lot on his MacBook and on the phone and wears a cast on his right hand as a sign he works too much on the computer and his phone.
Rafa is also a family man and gets back to visit his wife Montse and their two daughters in the Wirral Cheshire as much as he can during the season.
He has some interesting remarks today in the Chronicle about the game of solitaire which is called patience in England.
The game is available on the cell phone, and it’s an excellent game that I play every day.

It seems Rafa plays the game as well and was obsessed to break the record.
Here’s some of what he has said today in the Chronicle:
“It’s not just that I was working hard, but I was also on the phone, competing against my wife.”
“She was playing solitaire, I wanted to beat her. She was doing very well and she showed me her score.”
“I asked, ‘What is the record?’. I spent one month on that game!”
“But believe me, I beat the record. It is not easy to do, but I beat it. I’ve had this six months now, the doctor has given me an injection.”
“But the problem is that I always have to use the computer and the phone.”
Rafa is so competitive and he doesn’t like to lose.
Before he joined Newcastle on March 11, 2016, and had been at home for a couple of months after being fired by Real Madrid – his wife Montse was hoping he would get back into football as soon as possible.
Rafa loves his job in football and when he’s not doing that he’s like a fish out of water.
Let’s hope he remains in football management for many years to come – and guides Newcastle to win something.
That has to be one of his goals – and if we know Rafa he wants to win a lot more trophies in his career – hopefully with Newcastle.
