Dubravka – The Fans Are Special Here – You Feel It Home And Away

Martin Dubravka didn’t have a lot to do in the game against Huddersfield on Saturday but when he was called on his did very well.

He came out for some balls in the box, and you could see he was determined to get to the ball – and he did.

Martin had a solid game for us which is exactly what we need from the 30-year-old Slovakian International.

The fans gave Dubravka their support, and his name resounded around the stadium – just in case the goalkeeper didn’t think the fans are right behind him.

Martin Dubravka – makes an excellent save under pressure on Saturday

Martin had made mistakes in the last two games at Tottenham and Wolves although he was clearly fouled by Willy Boly in the 95th minute at Molineux and the equalizing goal should not have stood.

This is what Martin told the Chronicle when asked about how he felt after the game:

“I don’t know what to say.” “It was just amazing for me.”

“As soon as I came on the pitch they supported all of us.”

“Look at the banner for Almiron – what a feeling for him on his debut.”

“He also had a standing ovation.” “The players can build confidence off that and I really appreciate that.”

“They stay behind us all the time.”

“The fans are special here. You can feel it at home and away, they travel wherever we go and stay with us.”

“That’s why it was amazing that we were able to celebrate together at the end of a great win.”

“We have to say we are pleased.”

Next up are Burnley tomorrow night at home and we need all 3 points in that game too.

Good to hear that dubs was getting the support he deserves and that he appreciates it. He has the opportunity to become as big a legend as wor Pav. He just needs to add a bit of heart in mouth dribbling to his game.

Note to dubs. Please don’t add heart in mouth dribbling to your game.

Tom the best comment about that , is by the
    great Bill Shankly.
    An interviewer said to Bill
“Mr Shankly you worked down the pits from an early
age then became a pro footballer at Carlisle and Preston.
Did you not regret going to College ?”
    Bill’s answer
” Not really , I was too busy getting an education”

Talking of ‘Kepas’ surely Chelsea’s can never play for the club again? Or is it more likely that sari will be shown the door? They can’t both stay in the same club after yesterday you’d think
