Unchanged Newcastle Side At West Ham

Rafa Benitez has just announced the Newcastle team for the tough game at the London Stadium against West Ham this afternoon.

So Javier Manquillo keeps his place at right wing-back after playing well in the 2-0 home win over Burnley on Tuesday night.

DeAndre Yedlin remains on the bench.

Javier Manquillo– keeps his place

The majority of Newcastle fans think we can win this game today – that would be excellent.

Manquillo again. Was expecting Yedlin to come back in, but Manquillo did well last time out. Yedlin’s form has been erratic recently, either excellent or all over the place.

All scorelines currently suit us very well.

Muto on the bench. I’d love to see him playing with Almiron. That would be some counter attacking pairing

    2 – 1 to the Toon.

Need to get some through balls for Almiron to chase. He was trying runs the last game but team mates were not quick enough.
For some strange reason Ritchie chose not to pass to him when he could have on numerous occasions.

No Joselu in the squad has to be a bonus, surprised Kenedy isn’t in there though. Take us to snatch a hard won draw.

    Mark Douglas

Can confirm NUFC *are* in talks to play in Asia Trophy in mainland China this summer. Would be in July.

Would be a big chance to spread the club’s “brand” in Asia, as well as tough test with games v Man C, West Ham and Wolves.

Looks like Ash is here for a while then….His main reason for buying us was to take SD to the East, initially I thought he meant Whitley Bay !

What can I say, mega defensive Rafa going with three attackers and two forward thinking midfielders and two ball playing centre halves. How do we cope with such negativity? 🙂
Seriously, wherever you are, enjoy the game. Can’t watch and blog in case I miss something – and I want to enjoy it! Come on Newcastle!!! Howay the lads!!!!

Mister Tuff @11 – Fully agree, on Tuesday Miggy kept making runs and wasn’t seen and as you say for some reason Richie seemed reluctant to pass to him – hopefully it’s because he hasn’t learnt his game yet and nothing more serious!
