Rafa Was Concerned About Over-Confidence – We Won’t Make That Mistake Tomorrow

Rafa had talked about over-confidence before the West Ham game last Saturday, and we were asleep for most of the first half.

Maybe some of our players through they could sleep-walk their way to win the game.

But it turned out to be a big let-down for everybody and West Ham were much the better side – especially in that first half when the game was lost by Newcastle conceding two sloppy goals.

Rafa had hinted before that game that he was concerned about over-confidence but he is clear that will not happen tomorrow.

But the players also need confidence for us to get the result we need tomorrow – another win – which would be our 9th win of the season.

This is what Rafa (shown above in training) said in his press conference earlier this afternoon:

“I was probably the most disappointed after the West Ham game because of the way we conceded the goals.”

“The mood of the players is fine. If you make mistakes, you have to analyze why, but we still need to have confidence.”

“I was trying to avoid over-confidence in the group before the West Ham game but sometimes you can’t.”

“We won’t make the same mistake. Everton is another final for us. We did well at Goodison Park, we played well.”

“But they good players and it will be a tough, tough game.”

And here are the upcoming games we have with a two-week International break coming after out game at Bournemouth next weekend.

Been off the blog for a few days talking to legal eagle acquaintances
of mine who really believe the Ashley empire is making radical and
earth – shaking changes – part of which is shedding his interest in NUFC
which is small beer to him but huge for us !!!!

Aye Jib , I have a mate in the trade that is involved and he knows I’m waiting . I pushed a bit for more info but he is staying true to his paymaster and I understand but it’s bloody frustrating .

I know by what is not said that something is afoot .. if it was over he would tell me it was over but as of a month ago it’s still lock down.

Jib, I’m inclined to believe you, IF we get sold to a person that a number of the people on here know about, then I’ll be very happy.

A 70% owner of a Company doesn’t just walk away from it, OK he’ll still own it and the CEO will be a puppet but, it’s a massive change for him. Merge House of Debs and then let’s see.

Providing he disposes of us who the hell cares anyway, although I will continue to never buy anything he’s involved in, even 10 years hence.

Ain’t done Mike Ashley as yet as his self in a former life ..

I was thinking of Gesseler ? From William Tell ? Big fat B’stard that was always eating 5 whole chickens and a hogs heed for breakfast with his bare hands and no bib.

Took everyone’s money in tithes and taxes on the poor stripped them of their singing section in the woods.

Bring back Friar Tuck that’s what I say.

Sorry went a bit loony tune there!
