It’s difficult to know whether Rafa will stick with the team that lost 2-0 last Saturday at the London Stadium against West Ham.
Of course, Sean Longstaff is unfortunately out for the season and either Diame, Ki or Shelvey will come in for the outstanding young attacking central midfielder.
It looks like Sean will be fully fit and ready to go before preseason begins in early July.
Sean has been a revelation for Newcastle since December, and we are going to miss him for the final 9 games of this season.
If it’s like for like then maybe Rafa will bring in Ki Sung-yueng for Longstaff in central midfield.
Ki Sung-yueng – could start tomorrow
Mo Diame came on in the second half and did well last Saturday but we expect Hayden to hold onto the holding midfielder starting position.
And Rafa could change his formation and maybe go back to a 4-2-3-1 formation.
We’ll assume he’ll play a 3-4-3 formation and keep his trust in most of the side from last week
Dubravka
Schar Lascelles (c) Lejeune
Yedlin Hayden Ki Ritchie
Perez Rondon Almiron
Ki is a good player and itching get back to playing first-team football.
And we have DeAndre Yedlin returning in place of Javier Manquillo.
Rafa could also start Mo Diame, who needs just three more starts (24 in total) to automatically trigger a one-year extension to his contract in the summer.
He could also find some way of bringing Paul Dummett back into the back line.
What team would you start tomorrow against the Toffees?

Comment #2I think we might see Shelvey in the team tomorrow.
Big pressure on Hayden, cant say Shelvey is a workhorse in midfield so he will have some covering of the pitch to do.
Just fancy Shelvey pinging some balls for Roadrunner to get onto.
We will see.
