Poll – Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In Magnificent Comeback Against Toffees

Well, this is one of Newcastle’s great comebacks.

Not as good as the 4-4 draw against Arsenal in February 2011 but a great comeback nonetheless.

We again scored all our goals in the last 25 minutes after being 2-0 down after only 32 minutes.

Dummett was brought on for Lascelles at half time, and Kenedy and Shelvey also made appearances in the second half.

A gutsy comeback from Newcastle who never give up with Rafa as the manager.

The goals came from Rondon after 65 minutes and a winning brace from Ayozer Perez in the final 10 minutes.

Let us know who you think Newcastle’s best player was this afternoon.

Yedlin is an attack minded defender. As a full back, he had Ritchie helping him out and working back to cover and support him, but still left space. As a wing back with a big part to play in supplying width when we have the ball and go forward, he has no safety net and will be exposed more often.

If we are to keep playing him there, then the onus is on Rafa, his staff, and the other players to understand their responsibility to the side and to step across to cover, or to drop in and allow someone else to squeeze the space left behind him. Having said all that, what a subime ball from Bernard to catch Yedlin a little too high for the first goal.

    Amazing game.

I think people like ilovetoon should just change their sport now to something more simple like Golf. Slating Almiron for most of the game when he was actually causing Everton problems and his runs were creating space for others in the first half. When he had the ball defenders were on the back foot and he put in some amazing balls that our attackers should have read better.

Lads and Lasses, please have some feelings here, poor, poor Catchy hasn’t been on the site for the last five home games.

I think that may be the first time since Sir Bobby we have won five at home on the bounce.

Perez I have given you crap for the last few seasons but voted for you man on the match and well deserved, looks like the arrival of Migs has lite a fire under you, may it continue.

Clearly based on today’s performance one can “clearly” see that Rafa is not a good man manager. Unable to motivate his players, they all are constantly asking to be transferred to a Champions League club. Players all lack energy and heart! Clearly….

    Right Catchy? 😉
