It was an emotional win last Saturday at home to Everton when Newcastle brilliantly came from 2-0 down with 25 minutes to play to win by 3-2 with the goals coming from Rondon and a brace from Ayoze Perez.
For the game on Saturday, Fabian Scar is not available after receiving a two-game ban after he picked up his 10th yellow card of the season during the game.
The Cherries are 3 points above us on the league table, and a win would take us above them on goal difference.
Rafa Benitez in training
Rafa Benitez thinks we need two more wins for safety and that would take us to 40 points.
A win is what we need before the two-week International break.

Comment #1This is a “delighted with a point” scenario.
Anyone expecting the free-flowing footy
of last weekends second half is due some
disappointment .
Bournemouth played 5 – 4 – 1 vs Man city
but normally play 4 – 4 – 1 – 1 at home
I expect Rafa to revert to 3 in the middle if
Lascelles is fit in time (he was training)

Comment #2Fernandez seems conspicuous by his absence, again. Niggling injuries…

Comment #5Sing, he’s not as good an all round player at schar but probably better defensively than him or lejeune?

Aye swings and roundabouts eh? I’d have Lejeune about level with Fernandez in defensive capability, just less consistent.

Comment #7Rafa builds from defense, so he will put out who he has seen as best during the week’s practice. It could be that the additional offense Miron has brought will taker pressure off the back 4/5. I feel confident that NUFC will find a goal or two in this match.
