Midfielder With No Newcastle Future Could Resist Permanent Move In Summer

Newcastle will be ready to offload Jack Colback in the summer since he has no future at Newcastle.

His future was decided in the late summer of 2017 when Rafa had him training with the U23 squad, and when he wanted him to make the numbers up in the first team squad, he refused to join the team.

Rafa doesn’t put up with stuff like that, and Jack’s Newcastle career ended right there.

Jack is playing quite well at Nottingham Forest, and he will be available for a fee this summer – with just one year left on his contract at Newcastle.

Jack Colback – could try to see out his contract on Tyneside

But Colback ran his contract down while at Sunderland and signed as a free agent for Newcastle back in the summer of 2014.

We have the feeling that Jack will want to keep his £50K/week wages at Newcastle one more season and see out his contract at the club.

Jack could resist a permanent move this summer and would probably prefer a loan move somewhere.

Rafa tried to sell him last summer but was unable to do that.

It will be interesting to see if Colback – who knows he has no future at his home town club – will resist a permanent move this summer.
