Can Newcastle Get Something Out Of Arsenal Game?

We don’t often win at the Emirates Stadium, but Rafa and the lads will try to get all three points when we play the Gunners on Monday night.

It will be a difficult game for Newcastle, but after getting 4 points at home to Everton and away at Bournemouth in our previous two games – Newcastle are in good form.

All players in the squad except Sean Longstaff (injured) and the suspended Fabian Schar are available.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery

So Rafa should be able to start a strong side to try to get something out of this game in north London.

But the Newcastle team will need to tighten up at the back after we’ve conceded two goals in each of the previous three games.

Jib – Admits ‘one game’ might be enough to secure safety

Yes, 37 points is the average.

Earlier I had been hoping for a bit of advice about food security.
Food shortages and all that – I ‘ve managed to complete a 2 day course on ploughing with a heavy horse.
We are going to plough up our lawns and plant some crops, corn, turnips and tatties.
The heavy horse is getting delivered next week – he’s called Dobbin.
We’ll have to add a bit of security in case there are any Germans roaming about with desires of nicking our food. Can’t be too careful.

The Mrs had just spent about £30 odd quid on one of those salad spinners.
Wash your salad and fruit put it in the spinner and centrifugal force throws out the excess liquid.

Had to do this after we found out that the vast majority of fruit and salad we get imported is washed by a chlorine based solution – same as Mr Trumps chickens.
    Can’t be too careful.

Now is the time to start casting eyes
over the relegated teams to see if they
have any players worth thinking about.

Be fair to Jiblets, he’s bi-sexulal. He’s been quite open and said that when he was younger, if he wanted sex, he had to buy it! Tuppence a go he said – no rubbish for Jib, they’d have to have their own teeth!

Anyone notice Arthur Blank sold 300M of his Atlanta shares in the past week?

I wonder is it possible he’s gathering money for a bid at the end of the season????

In his presser Rafa acknowledged he was the one who sanctioned
the trip to China in pre-season. His preference is usually to stay closer
to home but said he would never block a chance to increase the club’s g
    lobal appeal

Just to be clear that’s £30M from his NFL side
Atlanta Falcons not his MLF side Atlanta United

Interesting that the oval ball side is called Falcons
and the round ball side is United just like Newcastle

I’m not excited at all its just speculation and considering hed have a few hundred mill freed up to spend he could conceivably have more than enough for a Newcastle bid, without ever needing to cash in anything more.

    Its just interesting

to recapture the form we all know he’s
    capable of.

Its all good mate. I think Kennedy is F*kd though. 7 of his best performances wouldn’t convince Rafa to spend 16mil on him or even a reduced price of 10mil. He’s been terrible all year and he’s the one type of player Rafa hates or doesn’t want. The kind who only show up once every few games.

about the Rondon situation … Rafa wants him … the player himself wants to stay with us … we want RONDON to stay … so what the player is coming up to 30 … £ 16 and a half million … for a very good centre forward cheap at half the price IMO … Rondon has may’be 3 years left to play at a top level rather it was for us than west ham … and if we can buy a decent young centre forward he can learn off Rondon so to me its a win win situation … come on fat one get him signed ffs …

On Rondon could the issue be the wages rather than the transfer fee? We have a strict wage structure, with only Shelvey on high wages as far as I know. If we break it, it could lead to a raft of players wanting higher pay.

I’d still have him don’t get me wrong but just trying to understand the perceived reluctance to sign him.

With 8 games to go it looks like WBA will be in the
    Championship playoffs (3rd vs 6th – 4th vs 5th)
The clubs probably have agreed to put the Rondon
situation on ice until everything is resolved.

i get what your saying about wages but we are gonna have to break the bank regarding wages some where down the line … to get better players you have to pay better wages …
