Three New Strips Revealed Including Shorts And Socks

Newcastle’s three new strips for next season have been revealed and while they are not official yet- they look like the real deal and are similar (the same) to what was revealed a few weeks back.

But they now contain the shorts and socks for each of the three new strips.

They also include the three goalkeeper jerseys.

That pink keepers top is outrageous.
Any correlation between keepers tops and how quickly strikers see the keeper before deciding where to place their shots ?
Must be some research out there.
Perhaps one for Jib on a quiet Sunday…

Not even 150 quality comments in two days. Ed used to get decent contributions during international breaks. Remember that theory about all the bickering and “usual suspects” driving good posters away? Not a great theory that one. The Accused have stayed quiet and well whaddya know? Silence. No great flood of emboldened quality writers!

Another theory that involves die hard nuisances, complainers and polarising bickerers needs to be formulated 🙂 certainly has driven me away lately I can’t even be bothered to retort to jibs taunts of Mr T and snipes in general at the low quality of everyone’s football knowledge, Munsters wistful loss of Jail for Ashley to box with, tediously long interchanges of who has the best famous person recollections etc. It’s like an awkward conversation with someone you are supposed to recognise at a supermarket.

Anyway, on to tomorrow – listen up you yellow bellied, lily livered pessimists ! Vote WIN! What’s up with you lot voting for a loss? If the players do read this blog (mercy on their souls etc) that low winbar will do them in! 1-2 to the Toon!

Nowt too much wrong with any of those. Second is high vis but I’m down with players bring able to pick each other out in peripheral vision. Home goalie – BOOM! 😀 third kit is a bit meh but I’ve seen worse.

I wonder if a goalie shirt with dark front and hi-vis back would work? Not easy for strikers to pick out but easy for defenders to pick out and protect! 🙂

He could wear bright shorts though so no awkward back passing situations. Off to the patent office… 😀

I like the wide bands and retro neck. Probably smaller stripes next time though go a bit more old school. Anyway – not liking central badges? Wot – like the blue star? Wash your mouth out sonny! 🙂

I think the problem with puma is that they are a bit obvious with the rehashing of their generic team range. Same underlying patterns and styles, a bit obvious they are having the specific team kit made on a rejigged “team kit package” line. I think that’s what gets people.

I always thought they could make a shirt that incorporated a stylised feather pattern, similar to the stadium roof. However they could not get further away (pardon the pun) from what I had in mind.

Not sure if the lack of stripes is better than the usual amount, but it is different and that’s good. Not many of our home kits over the last decade look much different to the others. And in the argument of whether fat stripes or thin stripes are best, my answer is they’re both better than the fat stripes/ thin stripes combo we had in 89 or 90. Although I loved it at the time, it’s got to be our worst homekit ever.
Also I really like that orange one. It’s a bit of a throwback to the bright shirts of the early 90s.

Yep that sounds like Mike Ashley and his Rule over Newcastle United.

    who are the accused Tsunki?
and if they’ve been quiet how would the people who’ve supposedly been driven away know the accused were being quiet? they’d only know if they were still here and were never actually driven away in the first place, otherwise they’d be ignorant of the silence and remain driven away. i’m not saying the theory holds any water, but the silence on the blog could equally be evidence that the theory is right. personally i blame the die hard nuisances. the polarisers like catchy make the blog more interesting by sparking debate and some of the bickering can be unintentionally hilarious.

The best colour range for a goalees shirt could, if not already, be the subject of University research. (This one’s for Tsunki) It would be statistically difficult to decide whether a bright or muted shirt would impact the number of goals scored per shots on target. The analogy being between shockingly violent shirts having a bigger impression on the shot taker and shirts that blur the location of the goalkeeper, to the quick glance of a striker. The first perhaps resulting in more shots being put wide and the latter, into the keepers hands.

If its true that the brighter the shirt the more likely a player is to sky it, then Jorge Campos must have been impossible to score past.

Does anyone actually know what Puma pay to be kit supplier annually? And does it compare with other pl teams the size of nufc? Always wondered who benefited the most from the arrangement nufc or sports direct? Walk the floors of any SD shop and who will get your answer.
