Forward Could Still Have A Future At Newcastle

One question that we’ve had all season is what is the future of Dwight Gayle at Newcastle.

Rafa had to let Dwight leave as part of the loan deal to get Salomon Rondon to the club last summer.

But if Dwight had still been here this season he could have picked up some goals from having Salomon up front and being such a physical presence.

Dwight has again performed well in the Championship and he’s scored 17 goals for West Brom who are currently in 4th place but could miss out on an automatic promotion spot.

Rafa said yesterday that Dwight could still have a career at Newcastle and Benitez has always believed the former Peterborough and Crystal Palace striker can score goals in the Premier League.

The loan deals involving Rondon and Dwight with West Brom have no options to buy in either contract.

Dwight Gayle – has 17 goals for the Baggies this season

And Dwight’s future will depend on how we can get Rondon to the club and Gayle could even be offered in part exchange by Newcastle.

This is what Rafa said yesterday as reported in the Chronicle:

“Dwight is doing really well.”

“It’s good when players are doing well for their teams and you have to consider them for the future.”

“OK, you never know what can happen but it’s good when they are doing well and enjoying themselves.”

Gayle’s future will also depend on whether West Brom can get promoted from the Championship this season at their first attempt since they were relegated last May.

Dwight has made 33 appearances in the Championship for West Brom with 17 goals and 2 assists.

On Ryan Fraser !! YES PLEASE!!

He is quality and has the same fighting spirit that Richie has only he is much much quicker and has better end product!

Only thing is I seen Arsenal were after him as well?

Signing him from Bournemouth would actually be a huge sign of intent by cherry picking their best player which is why I can’t see it happening we don’t do that kind of ambition under Ashley……

Fraser on the left wing cutting inside , Almiron no 10 with either Limbombe/Pione Sisto on the other wing is what we need behind a quality striker !

Been quite a few games this season where we could certainly have used Gayle’s pace and movement!

Him playing beside Rondon would have been an interesting idea when we play 352

Would still make a very decent 3rd choice striker
