Ki, Dummett, And Manquillo Start At Leicester City

Rafa Benitez has just announced the Newcastle team for the tough game at Leicester City tonight.

In spite of Mo Diame being fit Ki Sung-yueng keeps his place in tonight’s team with Paul Dummett coming in for the injured Florian Lejeune.

Javier Manquillo – starts tonight

And right-back Javier Manquillo gets a rare start coming in for DeAndre Yedlin, who is dropped and on the bench for tonight’s game.

Only about one in five fans think we can win this game tonight at the King Power Stadium.

Very interesting talk from Rafa with Sky at the end there. Saying that he’s not asking for £200m from the owner but a little bit of help goes a long way.

Cardiff now need 11 points from 6 games just to get ahead of us we would need to lose most of our remaining games for them to not go down, a highly unlikely scenario.

Great team performance especially Perez of course, Ki keeping it cool in the middle and Manquillo did enough to keep Yedlin out next game.

I can see another couple of wins before the end of the season.

Hope Rafa and Fatty can find some common ground now.

Not sure about the Sky Sports commentary at the end. Cardiff have 6 games left and several of those are very winnable. So although they would need a miracle to catch us, they could still end up above Burnley, for example, who have a tough run in.
