Paul Merson Predicts Leicester vs Newcastle Result

We were a little bit worried last Saturday when Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson predicted that we would beat Crystal Palace at home,

We did everything but score and they had one shot on target, and they won the game 1-0 via a penalty.

That was a real shocker and broke our streak of five home wins in a row – we were getting all our points at home over the last few months.

Paul Merson – Newcastle to lose 2-0

The Sky Sports pundit is back to predicting Newcastle will lose again, and he thinks it will be 2-0 tonight at the King Power Stadium.

Here’s what Merson has said about the game on Sky Sports:

“In the games Leicester have played of late, teams have had a go at them.”

“But I think Newcastle will sit back and make it difficult and that’ll give them a different proposition.”

“Huddersfield went for it and Bournemouth were the same, but Newcastle will sit back and try to nick a point.”

“So they’ll have to be patient.” “But I’m going to go for Leicester to win.”

“Under Brendan Rodgers, the players look confident and they’re playing very well.”

“I think they’re a dangerous team at the moment.”

Prediction – Leicester 2 Newcastle 0.

Our fans are not too confident either but another defeat would be our third defeat in four games and the mood on Tyneside would sour a little bit more.

I think 2-0 to Leicester is a reasonable prediction. Given our recent form and our lack of ability to score, I’m struggling to see any result other than a loss, therefore a point will be a big bonus.

I hope Vardy lets emotion get the better of him and gets sent off. I think more likely is him scoring the winner and making some kind of gesture at our fans, which will be wasted on most.

Frankly, though, I’m not sure exactly what his wife expected when she was brown-nosing two of the most hated figures at our club of all time. If she wasn’t aware, then at least Vardy himself should have been and should have warned her.

Not that I condone online abuse in any form – I don’t – but I acknowledge that it is a thing and that Rebekah Vardy put herself in the line of fire with some careless social media posts when she should perhaps have known what reaction it might attract.

I have a feeling this one will be a bore-draw? I would love to see us come flying at them, but that’s not Rafa’s way. I can’t see us getting forward much, so I think the game plan will be to contain them.

Could the Debenhams situation and Ashley’s huge losses as a result force him into selling the club? We live in hope! In the meantime we bump along on the bottom year after year whilst relatively tiny clubs Bournemouth, Brighton, Leicester and others flourish! Unbelievable!

If those reviews are anything to go by we might be the only business making him .money soon enough.

There seems a lot of pessimism about this match.Personely I think we are a better team than we are given credit for.i think we may do ok but this is football a bad decision a mistake and all bets are off.
Also I prefer winning against eleven men it’s more satisfying.

That’s true he’s obsessed with buying up lame duck retailers and I’m not sure whether he’s lost the plot or he’s a financial genius.
I went into a HoF store with the Mrs recently and she said “What’s all this sports tat piled up on tables”? Haha the place had more sales people than customers!
