Florian Lejeune Has Successful Surgery – Thanks Professor

Good news that Florian Lejeune has had successful surgery on his knee by Professor Paolo Mariani in Rome.

Marani was the surgeon who operated on Lejeune in August, and the French center-back was able to be fit to play in a short four months.

But that took a lot of work from the player himself as he went through an arduous rehabilitation.

But the Frenchman is a determined character, and we hope he can come back just as quickly this time around.

He does have his wife and baby daughter with him in Rome and in a couple of days, he will start his rehabilitation.

We wish Florian all the very best – it’s very tough for any footballer to go through two ACL surgeries in a short nine months.

But Florian has the determination and will to be playing again for Newcastle as early as September.

But the main thing is for Lejeune to have a full and complete recovery from his ACL.

He will also appreciate continuing support from the fans over the next four months.

Brighton going down, Cardiff staying up. Brighton got Wolves, Arsenal, Tottenham and Man City. On current form that is zero points. They’ve got Toon as well, in that game anything can happen, still not enough to catch us. We are safe. Cardiff could catch us, could see that happening. Brighton, not a chance.

Munster……….. You were disingenuous yesterday when giving my comments on Gaelic Football as the reason for calling me a half wit .You are fully aware that Gaelic football wasn’t mentioned until after the discussion on playing Rugby at SJP and your subsequent insult.

I won’t prevaricate here and will freely admit that my comments on Gaelic football were more than likely half witted as I know very little if anything about your precious sport and have no desire to be enlightened as I find it a very silly game.

Rafa must get assurances otherwise it’s 3 more years of the same.
Trying to stay up with a wage bill of about 60M.
Sooner or later we will have a bad season and go down again.

Assuming we are safe that’s 3 years at least of Prem revenue.
    180M x 3 = 540 Million.

Repost didn’t even know bus had come let alone missed it ;-(

Does anyone really expect Rafa to say he wants to stay no matter what?

It’s nearing the end game and Rafa needs to make it unequvically clear in negotiations that he does have a realistic plan B and is fully prepared to leave if his preferred choice can’t/won’t be met. Unless Ashley believes that then Rafa is not playing his best hand.

In same way a few weeks ago press started linking us to other managers to let Rafa know there are alternatives.

A lot of it is sensible and normal public posturing but just as was possible with Brexit (and could yet be) a no deal scenario nevertheless could happen by accident but until we are mathmatically safe I trust there isn’t yet the urgency in talks.

In passing a quick congratulations to the Extinction protesters in London, the Rafa question is insignificant by comparison.

Apparently there is a layer of plastic forming on mountain tops from air borne micro beads, we a seemingly plasticising our planet from the depths of the oceans to the highest points.

Well done to all of us.
