Results Have Gone Newcastle’s Way This Week – Brighton Look Vulnerable

The bottom 10 clubs have now all played 35 games as some of the clubs this week have played their games in hand.

With Burnley drawing at Arsenal, Brighton losing at Tottenham through an 88th goal, and Southampton drawing at Watford – none of those teams below Newcastle won their games in hand.

They were very decent draws by both Burnley and Southampton, but Brighton lost again.

The game with Newcastle at Brighton on Saturday could now be vital for Brighton’s survival.

Chris Hughton – Brighton manager – in some danger of relegation?

The Seagulls are now 3 points above Cardiff but on a positive note – they have a much better goal difference.

18Cardiff38-3534
19Fulham38-3726
20Huddersfield38-5416

Cardiff will need to make up 4 points on Brighton in the final three games, and that could be difficult.

If Cardiff survive, it will have been an unbelievable escape from relegation.

But Brighton have picked up just one point from their last 7 league games and have failed to score a goal during that time.

It’s a terrible time to be in such a slump.

Newcastle must have a decent chance of picking up our third win in a row on Saturday at the Amex Stadium.

Comments welcome.

Never mind the Manchester derby tonight
If I were Pep I’d be more worried about my
visit to Turf Moor to meet Burnley on Sunday

Is that because of the 4-4-2 that Burnley play on Sundays at home that causes fireworks in the middle of the park.

Hoots clearly selected last nights team with
one eye on their home fixture against us on
    Saturday teatime.
If Anthony Knockeart is back it will be hard
    for us

If we beat Brighton i fancy Cardiff will snatch the premier League rug from under them.

Sky must be jumping for joy at the end to this season
Not only dog fights at top and bottom
but also CL qualification is still up in the air

Hughton needn’t worry about prioritising our match over the game yesterday, Mike Dean has got that covered.

We are due a sending off. Dean might be thinking it’s the perfect counter to the non-red in our last match that will really make the away fans boil.

As someone who lives in Brighton, I would love nothing more than to send them down, although I have massive love for hoots, the Brighton fans can’t stand him despite the fact that he’s there most successful manager ever. They think that they shouldn’t be in relegation battles despite only having 2 years st the top table. They’ve got very big for their boots, most of them ain’t real fans anyway most of them are Spurs and Chelsea fans but as soon as they get promoted all of a sudden there Brighton fans. Hoots isn’t appreciated there so would LOVE IT IF WE BEAT THEM LOVE IT!
