We have lost two players through injury since the huge 3-1 win last Saturday against Southampton at home for today game at Brighton.
Miguel Almiron is out for the season with the slight hamstring injury he picked up in the second half and left the field in tears.
We also had some surprising news yesterday that captain Jamaal Lascelles is out with a stomach problem.
But Jamaal is likely to be fit for our next game next Saturday at home to high-flying Liverpool, who hammered Huddersfield 5-0 at home yesterday to go back to the top of the league.
Chris Hughton – Brighton manager
Rafa wants to win every one of the final three games (he wants to win every single game!), and he will field his strongest available side today.
We expect the experienced Federico Fernandez to come in for Lascelles at the back and the in-form Christian Atsu to be on the left win.
Schar and Hayden are also fit after being taken off in the second half last week with slight injuries.
Here’s the team we expect Rafa to start in a 3-4-3 formation.
Schar Fernandez Dummett (c)
Manquillo Hayden Ki Ritchie
Perez Rondon Atsu
Yedlin could possibly be back to replace Manquillo at right wing back.
It would be a great win today if we can do it.
Brighton are struggling and have picked up only one point in their last six league games – and haven’t been able to score a goal.
There’s some confidence we can win this game.
