Some Newcastle players have taken to Twitter to send their messages at the close of the season.
Salomon Rondon – Our brilliant number 9
Below are three tweets from some of our top performers this season. The last one is a special message from Isaac Hayden. He has shown nothing but class under very trying circumstances.

Comment #1Love Hayden, will really miss him. It’s been a long time since I felt this way about a senior player leaving the club. Wish him all the best, he will certainly go on to massive things.

Comment #3I’ll be honest, after his performance against Cardiff, I never wanted to see him in the shirt again! But he made it up, even mentioning it at the end of the season shows it played on him too… Showed a good desire, made amends with aplomb and has carried himself openly and with dignity whom I suspect has left most fans admiring him for, it’s nice to have someone who is transparent at the club, I like him, I’ll be sad to see him go, but he has my blessing and I’ll remember him well, I think he will do well too, his best is yet to come, he’ll be an accomplished PL player. Well done Isaac!

Well most of that points difference can be attributed to dodgy refs, inept linesmen, blatant fouls by opposition teams stopping break away attacks by fouling deep in our half to minimise yellow or red cards and players falling over and claiming fouls.
Game changers for next season. In no particular order.
1. VAR
2. Rafa stays
3.Ashleys spends
4. Lejejune back stronger and fitter
5.Almerion gets early season goal and goes from strength to strength
6. Rondon is signed and becomes Super Ron.
7. Longstaff back stronger and fitter.
8. Hayden has a change of heart and the family are moved here but if not good luck for the future – great pro and will go on to be a significant player in the Premier League
9. Ball boys taught how to return the ball to our players better and quicker
10. We earn a top 4 place. Why not ?!

Comment #9Buzzing for wor Kelland the day like.
Said at start of season Kelland was one of the youngsters to watch out for.
Literally play anywhere on the park. Up front, midfield, cb.
Got good mentors in schar and lugene.
And of course Rafa.
Little info about him he played up top and midfield most his young footballing life. Banging in loads of goals at all age levels. (Some wonder strikes check him out).
This season newcastle have made him into a cb.
He can spray passes defend and attack.
Plus hes a geordie, get another young geordie in the team.

Supposedly he’s given the players their bonuses ahead if when they should have received them.

Comment #14Enjoying watching the scousers get miserable is always nice. I’ve never cheered for spurs but wudnt it be mental if they won the CL? Let’s hope for good negotiations soon and three decent updrade signings in addition to proper replacents for guys who leave. Rafa get a holiday in lad!

Be so far up ashleys crack with praise and love that it freaks him out of the toon. 50000 of us giving him a cuddle every game instead of shouting abuse at him.
At the end of the day the fat man probly just wants a hug off us.
I mean he has made us financially stable over the last 11 years.
Isnt that what football is all about?
So credit to ashley for the last 11 years. Cheers mate we didnt go bust.

Your £44m nett spend looks fine until you factor in agents’ fees and other costs for each player transfer so they’ll add a lot to it.

Comment #26I’ve been chasing this blog trying to get caught up since about lunchtime yesterday, there’s been loads of comment from of different bloggers on a massive array of subjects, it’s been good reading.
It’s the end of a difficult season, a superb finale today putting a sheen on things for us. I’m pleased that our performance was so accomplished against one of the weaker teams in the League. We’re of a higher standard than the likes of Fulham and Cardiffand I think it’ll be difficult for the promoted teams next season too. The PL is getting stronger all the time and the step up from the Champo is only going to get more difficult.
I think Rafa’s given us an indication of what the next week or so has in store. The next week will see him sort his contract. If that happens, then we could well see Rondon sign permanently.
I’m pleased Shelvey got a goal and by all accounts played well. He has bags of talent but it’s whether or not he can adapt that for the way Rafa wants to play. Of course, we could have a different system next season anyway, in which case Shelvey may well come into his own again.
Well done today to the lads and Rafa and well done for this season also. I bet no other PL team had a handicap of having to pay £30M odd to their owner, so to overcome that and finish the season so well is an achievement.
Bring on next season, with Rafa in place. Can’t wait.

Comment #36Chelsea demanding £100m for Hazard with one year left, so £16.5m for Rondon is just today’s going rate, £14m would be a good compromise. I’d take him for that, no hesitation.

Jib – very decent of you to mention my near shout of the score today. I expect another poster might be full of hate about it.
But thanks anyway – If I had got the score totally correct I would have refused your cigar as I just know you would have put an explosive detonator in it.

Comment #39Hilarious, didn’t realise how far Liverpool were ahead, 7 points. I hope city win it again next year. Man u in serious trouble too. We need to give rafa 3-4 very good pacy intelligent players and chase Europe. Huge preseason ahead, if we don’t keep perez we need 25mill for him. Pogba, what a tool. Young fella had his first communion this weekend, I drank with my best buddy for first time in ages, leinster lost, toon won and looking good. Htl.
