Chris Hughton Has Been Sacked By Brighton

Chris Hughton’s spell at Brighton & Hove Albion has come to a shocking end today.  He had been at the helm of the club since 2014.

Rafa Benitez with Chris Hughton– Hoots has been sacked by Brighton

Brighton have released a club statement about the sacking of their manager.

This comes as a great shock to us. We are big fans of Chris who was class personified under trying circumstances when in charge of Newcastle.

We feel this is a very harsh decision as Hughton not only guided Brighton to the English top flight after a thirty-four year long absence, but he has kept them up both this season and last season.

This brings us back to when Hughton was unceremoniously sacked in December 2010 after a defeat at West Brom by Derek Llambias and Mike Ashley.

We have no doubt Chris will bounce back with a job this summer though it will most likely be in the Championship.

We wish him all the best and have always pulled for him in every job he has had since leaving Newcastle.

The whole of the football world veers between outrage
and mild shock at the dismissal of Hoots.
The only comments I’ve seen supporting the action on
the whole of the internet is Jail and a couple of other
“footy experts ” on this blog.

I remember when Stan cullis was sacked all those years ago.
I couldn’t believe it after all he had done for wolves.
Nowerday nothing comes as a surprise.

No justice in football, Chris Hughton is a real nice guy, and also a good manager, Ashley also sacked him and he was doing a good job to bring that clown Pardew to the club, it would be great if Newcastle could sack Ashley. HWTL.
