Rafa Delivers For Third Season Running – Time For Ashley To Back Him Big Time

Mike Ashley really needs to stop embarrassing himself and Newcastle and get Rafa signed up this week to a new and improved deal.

Ashley has to give Rafa ample funds so the manager can build Newcastle into a top team in England – and therefore in Europe.

If he is not willing to do that he should say that rather than sitting on the fence – which is what he’s been doing all this year.

It’s a small possibility he could do that, but we expect him to give in to some of Rafa’s demands – but not all of them.

Rafa Benitez – needs to be rewarded and thanked for what he’s done so far at Newcastle

And that has to be the problem for Mr. Benitez – if he signs up will it be the same old same old from Ashley – that we have seen over the previous twelve years.

A Scrooge running the club who hates to spend money and is only interested in Newcastle’s financial records.

In all honesty, we cannot see it changing much, but we are very anxious to be surprised about that.

We are buoyed by the fact that Scrooge was transformed and it only took one night.

🙂

Rafa’s future is the only thing on fans’ minds right now do it must be sorted out quickly.

If we can keep Rafa at the club and Ashley promises to give him good money to spend this summer (and does!!) it will be an exciting summer for Newcastle United and our fans everywhere.

Probably the most exciting in the 12 years we have been running this blog.

That’s what we are hoping for.

It can happen!

    Repost as the bus moved:
Well done Jail – I really thought I had you when I got 80 points but you pipped me by 1 point – I had Aguero as Captain and then at the last minute changed it to Salah – that’s what cost me. I was going to suggest we both donate anyway but you beat me to it 🙂

I see we have been linked to Bakayoko from Chelsea!?

He actually looks like the kind of midfielder that Benitez likes sort of like a hybrid of Sissoko and Diame could be the player that we loan from Chelsea this summer if Rafa stays!

Not one of us knows what will happen. Nobody. Bit early for an epitaph though. Bit of positive thought works wonders.
Great finish to the season all the same, nice to see Shelvey back in situ. Why we would want to sell him is beyond me. How do you replace him with value for money? Can’t make too many unnecessary changes, it seldom works in the PL. Talk of £20m – who’s better for that price?
Need top dollar for Hayden too. English, young, great form. He might want to go, but not cheap. Could see Manure putting in a cheeky bid in for Schar though. Improved all season.
Still, if Rafa stays he won’t sell cheap if he has to sell anyone. No point selling if you can’t improve. But then, that’s why Rafa’s worth the money.
He won’t get everything, just hope he gets enough to keep him here. Steady improvement. Season on season. Not much to ask for after all.

Rom Knee from previous – the stats re wins when Schaer plays vs when he doesn’t.

Quite revealing, those. I wonder if anyone picked him as their player of the season with martoon ahead of the Cardiff game? I’m guessing probably not, but those stats suggest (as if we didn’t already know) that he will be a serious contender.

A vital player, a superb signing and a huge part of the success of this squad of players. He needs to be retained for next season, but I can see a couple of the big boys coming in for him.

This match for the kids tonight is really important – there is a lack of consistent quality throughout the 2nd Division of PL2, which means some of the games we’ve strolled. The lads who don’t go out on loan will all benefit from the increased competition from promotion to Division 1.

Whatever happens with Rafa and Ashley, developing the kids and bringing them through to the first team remains an area which needs improving. here just have not been enough successful graduates in recent years, yet we see the proof that it’s possible with Sean Longstaff.

Really good to see Kelland Watts and Owen Bailey in the match day squad yesterday, two that will definitely be knocking on the door in the next 12 months.

Not really surprising seeing Hughton he is a gentleman but he is getting found out at the top level Brighton were lucky Cardiff were gash or they would have been relegated!

Done well for us here but beginning to wonder if it was because we just had good players at the time who were playing for the badge?

This is actually good timing as far as Newcastle are concerned hopefully Rafa can use the Brighton position to leverage good terms out of Ashley!

Would actually be soul destroying if Rafa left us to go to Brighton because of ambition though!

Jiblets says that bringing in Rodgers so quick was a different situation to ours as he wasn’t presently at the club, Scott Parker has now had his future sorted out in time for close season preparations. It is common knowledge for three years now when our managers current deal runs out, we have been safe for over a month now, Rafa’s t&c’s have been known for the last five weeks and the owner owns a helicopter. Yet here we are waiting for a meeting that we can only presume that the owner will be present???

Really poor treatment of Hoots by Brighton – what more do they want than promotion and two full seasons in the Premier League with another one to come? That’s success by any measure.

Twice now Hoots has been done up like a kipper by a Chairman who has his head up his own backside. I hope they get relegated next season.

I also hope that Hoots will get a nice job in the Champo and brings them up to the Prem in the next two seasons. I’d back him to do just that.

The Brighton chairman making a very praising but honest assessment of why Hoots had to go,(rightly imo) thanking him for his achievements but basically saying he nearly got them relegated and he can do without that thank you very much. How the foot is Churnley going to be able to explain the situation if Rafa doesn’t stay.
