Rafa Delivers For Third Season Running – Time For Ashley To Back Him Big Time

Mike Ashley really needs to stop embarrassing himself and Newcastle and get Rafa signed up this week to a new and improved deal.

Ashley has to give Rafa ample funds so the manager can build Newcastle into a top team in England – and therefore in Europe.

If he is not willing to do that he should say that rather than sitting on the fence – which is what he’s been doing all this year.

It’s a small possibility he could do that, but we expect him to give in to some of Rafa’s demands – but not all of them.

Rafa Benitez – needs to be rewarded and thanked for what he’s done so far at Newcastle

And that has to be the problem for Mr. Benitez – if he signs up will it be the same old same old from Ashley – that we have seen over the previous twelve years.

A Scrooge running the club who hates to spend money and is only interested in Newcastle’s financial records.

In all honesty, we cannot see it changing much, but we are very anxious to be surprised about that.

We are buoyed by the fact that Scrooge was transformed and it only took one night.

🙂

Rafa’s future is the only thing on fans’ minds right now do it must be sorted out quickly.

If we can keep Rafa at the club and Ashley promises to give him good money to spend this summer (and does!!) it will be an exciting summer for Newcastle United and our fans everywhere.

Probably the most exciting in the 12 years we have been running this blog.

That’s what we are hoping for.

It can happen!

    geordie157,
See my post #41, he’d ran out of ideas and if they’d started the new season the same it would be too late, if a new manager comes in and doesn’t work well at least they tried, Hoots will get a job elsewhere and his 3 or 4M pay off will help soften his mood.

Were Palace right to get rid of Pardew after taking them to eighth or whatever and a cup final, of course they were he was about to relegate them.

    geordietom,
There’s nothing they can say other than they had different ideas for the future of the club which will be a Ratner prawn sandwich, so my guess is they’ll say nothing at all. I honestly think a sticking point in getting s meeting sorted is them trying to get Rafa to sign an NDA.

    DubaiMicky,
I guess the way some players are just not quite good enough to make the step up then it must be the same with managers, there seems to be tons who are promotion specialists who can’t do it in the top flight.

This was the closing track on MOTD last night. First time I’d ever heard it, very haunting track.
Actually got my hands on some red seal yesterday, so it might have sounded even better, but this blew me away.

Jail, recent form is one thing, but in reality they scored 36 points over the course of the season, which is sufficient to survive in the vast majority of PL seasons.

If it was Man U, then yes it would be shabby, but this is Brighton. 3 consecutive years in the Prem is a massive achievement.

Someone else will now get the chance to build on Hoots’ hard work, and that sucks.

According to Bloom, he sacked Hoots because Btighton’s poor second half to the season put the club’s Prem status at risk.

Ashley risks our Prem status every year!

Overall hughton done a good job for Brighton from when he took over to where they are now. Sacking a little harsh as based on pretty much half a season of poor form.

Maybe I’m bias because I liked him but I now have no care for Brighton whatsoever and hope they get absolutely smashed next season 🙂

He gave the club a great cup run, fa cup semi final and narrowly lost to Man City 1-0. Seems that was forgotten.

Red seal eh? Yup, I got hold of a bit the other week. Very oily but……… I enjoyed the music!

Last time I got some was years ago,a kid from Wallsend was knocking it out at a riduculously low price – he didn’t know what he was selling and it went pdq!

    Now, gold seal, well………

Being in East Sussex, Brighton’s like my adopted second team. Nice little club but the chairman really does it proud. They’re in the throes of expanding their recently enhanced training facilities too – unlike us!

i think you will find there is more to the hoots sacking and not in a bad
they bought in dan ashworth as technical director (he turned down man u) he was at the fa and has been credited with up turn of results at all levels in the national game and womens

brighton for the past few years have been bringing in lots of kids
i think it has more to do with a new style of play and someone who will bring the kids through

hoots form has been poor second half of the season lets not forget they spent a fair bit in the summer and looked to have gone backwards

Reading between the lines the defender Bruno
who retired yesterday has thrown his hat into
the ring for the managers job he may have been
undermining Hoots from within the dressing room.
    Typical Catalan

We’re all big fans of Chris Hughton but I really don’t get this outrage of him being sacked for managing three wins in 23 games topped off by losing at home in a must win game against Cardiff, as much as we do like him we’d be calling for his head as well if he had that form here.

ronaldo, couldn’t agree more. Hoots is a gent and a really good coach. He galvanised our team in the promotion season and coached Carroll to be worth £25M, Brighton are going to be a less effective club without him.

I’d like to see them go down next season and have Hoots replace them with someone like Forest.

how is it in wrinkly ville

tony bloom will do whats best for brighton as a club there second half form must have been a concern but i think there is more to it in a good way with there new tech director

as you and i are local it could be an interesting time for them, an owner that does the best for his club who would have thunk it

it really is just football Hoots times up he’s had his chance,
from the outside it looks like the owner has back but him unfortunately he just couldn’t take the club the next step that’s it,
he’ll easily get another job clubs will be queuing up for him but there’s no doubt he will also get the sack again some time in the future
good luck to him he’s a true pro and no doubt will know the score !!!!

    Boots sacked-
Lucky to stay up they were awful up hear think we had 20 plus shots and they scored with a deflected goal
Away game two stonewall penalties turned down and if Cardiff had not had so many poor refereeing decisions go against them they would of been safe
