This is a really critical time for Newcastle fans and the Newcastle United club.
There is some fear that Mike Ashley’s intransigence, stubbornness, and thriftiness may prevent him from being able to sign world-class manager Rafa Benitez to at least another three-year stay at the club.
However, the was a report out yesterday that we covered that looked positive if the news was accurate, so there’s definitely hope.
While the talks continue Newcastle fans are on tenterhooks, and we take the temperature today of how the fans are feeling about all of this.
As usual, it’s tough to support Newcastle, but if we can get Rafa to stay at the club for at least another three years, there are almost certainly much better days lie ahead for this great club on Tyneside.
Typical Newcastle fan right now – trying to look cool – with an impressive full smile
Not worried about anything at all – life is good
At this moment Rafa Benitez is Newcastle and Newcastle is Rafa Benitez.
Where’s that announcement about Rafa’s signing for Newcastle on the official website?
Here are some comments from our loyal fans today and the facts are – we really don’t know what’s happening – but we’d sure like to find out!

Rafa: Mike I want to permanently sign Rondon, upgrade facilities for training, £60m to spend plus funds from all outgoing transfers.
Ashley: No he’s to old, here’s a Davina McCall treadmill and yoga mat with a can of one coat paint and the loose change from my pocket. #NUFC

The day #nufc put any f@£ing song on after a goal I will walk out. Sadly can see Ashley doing it as more and more of the real fans stop going under his ownership.

Is this a delay tactic from ashley, delay agreeing to rafas demand so he doesnt have to buy in the window #nufc

We also want Sunderland back in the Premier League …..
Well said Andy! As an #NUFC supporter I truly hope y’all make it back to Prem some day so we can have our Derby back. I hate your club but i firmly believe both #NUFC & #safc are better clubs when both are in the Prem and playing each other! ??
