Newcastle Should Snag The Next Luka Jovic

There are reports that Real Madrid, in what will be a busy transfer window for the Madrid giants, are lining up a €60M deal for Eintracht Frankfurt superstar forward Luka Jovic.

Luka Jovic’s value has skyrocketed this season after scoring 27 goals for the Bundesliga club. He was on loan from Benfica to start the season before Frankfurt wisely exercised their €7.2M option to buy in April.

There is another Red Star Belgrade academy product who is about to break out big time. He is striker Dejan Joveljic who has just broken through into the Red Star first team.

Dejan Joveljic – that celebration looks very familiar

Over his last seven appearances in the Serbian SuperLiga, Joveljic has scored five goals to go with one assist. He has made six of his eight starts this season in just his past eight appearances.

The young center-forward will turn 20 in August and has a host of Bundesliga clubs after him. His contract runs until 2023, but Red Star are a selling club though they did reject a fee of €3M from Spanish club FC Cadiz last year.

With few players from their academy breaking through and a limited transfer budget, Newcastle need to get creative in finding top level talent.

The SuperLiga is a top league to mine for up and coming Serbian stars.

Players like Andrija Zivkovic, Luka Jovic, and Nikola Milenkovic have all been plucked in the past few years for low fees, or for next to nothing in the case of Zivkovic. Though that was a unique instance.

While work permits are always an issue with unestablished Serbian players coming to England, Dejan Joveljic still might be worth the risk as he is not first team ready yet and could be loaned out.

A fee of around £5M may be able to tempt Red Star into selling one of their prized youngsters.

While this is an unlikely scenario for the risk-averse Newcastle club, we would love to see some creativity come out of the Newcastle board with their transfers.

If we are going to go after a 20 year old for the first team with Zero English soccer exp, then why are we not saving that money and giving Sorenson a chance. Drives me nuts, hoping that Rafa signs he will take Sorenson to China to see what he can offer.

27 goals in the Bundesliga is slightly better than
a handful for the U23’s and none for Blackpool.

    Jib,
I think Nostradamus was talking about the kid in the article, 5 goals in the Serbian league. I doubt he was comparing him to Jovic.

Goals in the reserves vs goals in the Serbian league is probably not a terrible comparison, but it’s far more to do with the player, and not just the goals in the reserves.

It would be nice to see Sorensen given a chance, but I’d prefer to not need to and be able to loan him out.

I told you plt and Homeplug does not effect the Ham Bands as the home plugs are now notched at the frequencies we use and are licenced for and you come back at me that it does effect the Ham Bands!

It effects the shortwave bands in between all of the Ham Bands but when tuning around on a radio vfo ..moving frequency the plt noise stops when you get to the Ham Bands and picks up again either side.

Instead of going na na na na na ! Olg ..that’s childish Jib , why not be supportive .?

I was trying to tell you that you only get 50% Internet speeds through the day using homeplug plt and wireless and that you get 100% speeds of what you pay for with an Ethernet cable plugged into your computer to your modem.. easily hidden under carpets etc, and totally secure .

Also when someone asked you what RF means you gave them the answer without any knowledge..you said “radio frequency” ..if we are talking about radio frequency we write down radio frequency ..RF is RF energy .. RF power that will burn your toes off if you get to close.

If you go on giving people mis-information like that it becomes truth and legend to people who thought you had the answers as you started pontificating on Radio matters

Do you think in my 40 plus years in Radio ..from a little kid building crystal sets I might have a bit more knowledge than you in your half hour googling session..?

For five million quid, I’d take a punt on signing this kid. Rafa will obviously do his homework though, so I trust him to bring in some quality players next season (assuming he stays (which he won’t)).

By the way, is the lack of football for the next few months going to be replaced with ham radio technical waffle? I do hope not.

Great series against Pakistan. Morgan hitting form along with other batsmen. Two bowlers over 90mph, two top spinners and swing bowlers if conditions are right. Think I’m having my money on us to win the world Cup this year. 🙂

Online Guy………. I don’t want to get caught up in the middle of this technical dispute as both you and Jib obviously know more about Radio electronics than I do. However I think the point Jib was making that you missed was you mistaking one of the internal cables for the big outdoor power lines that are attached to the pylons. I think if you read back you will find this is where you got confused.

    Bill, Lesh

You will be interested in this

PLT Homeplug knocks out the Shortwave bands , effects DAB radio and FM domestic radio..as re Shortwave radio it wipes out the ability to hear stations from afar, across the world .

One could tune in to radio South Africa ..small African stations also trying to get the message out across the world on tyranny and corruption within their governments ..dissidents could voice their opinions .

The older generation who don’t use Internet are having the right to receive shortwave broadcasts from around the world taken away from them , we have no right to to that..

If a good thing exists why destroy it with bad technology ?

I don’t know if the British govt don’t want you to hear what’s going on around the world but plt is blocking signals worldwide.. yes there’s the Internet but there are countries and people where they rely on shortwave radio to bring them world news ..Try listening to radio Canada international now , or VOA , Voice of America..radio Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, small African and caribbean stations on shortwave ..all knocked out by this stupid little badly thought out £30 Homeplug spewing rf and data onto your unshielded mains wiring , and in turn destroying shortwave radio worldwide..

It’s in contravention of your human rights , it actually breaks your human rights..it’s been noted.

It takes away your ability to recieve information from other cultures.

It’s been discussed in Parliament and the Lords.

There’s a white paper or two on it so it’s obviously a problem .

These problems exist because of a EU directive and a threat to disrupt a treaty with Britain if we did not implement this tech.

The EMC tests ..(testing apparatus in a lab before roll out to the public) are not fit for purpose. They actually tell the public and those concerned LIES

There’s a paper someplace on the net that tells you all about it and how it’s breaking the law and your human rights.

The sunspot cycle has an eleven year peak.. the interference your causing with your harmless looking 30 quid Homeplug can travel around the world under certain conditions , you will hear it as a noise ..it can sound like an annoying motorbike or motorboat type noise ..it’s effecting military and Marine communication and life saving radio when propagation is right ..and it is now We will be at a peak for quite a few years as the 11 year cycle is strong at present and is getting stronger .

Locally you don’t need propagation it will travel from your house wiring a couple of miles..no problem ..effecting many other apparatus in your Neighbourhood.

If only to realise 100% speed on your Internet for what you are paying for …get rid of them.

It’s like you going to a garage and paying for £50 in petrol and only getting £25 quids worth of milage ..!

You know those foil things that some sun worshippers hold under their chins

If you make something up like that out of kitchen foil and cardboard and
place it behind your router it
    a
    stops bleed from your property
    and
    b
strengthens the signal into the house

try it – if it doesn’t help nothing lost

    Australian Pie !

Now sit down to watch the Big Match , yes , sit down in front of your TV because I’m going to turn on a little plug- in device in your mains wall socket and it’s going to wipe out the picture and impose a motorbike engine sound on the audio ..happy ?

I’v just taken away you right to watch your Television and a programme you were looking forward to watching .

    How does that feel ?.

That’s what happens to Radio users, Shortwave listeners world wide because of Homeplug.

They have their right to listen taken away from them .

Do you like your right to watch taken away from you? .

Why should television have priority over radio ?

If it was not for Radio Hams and J L baird and his team of radio amateurs working on it you might not have the TV…although you would but it would come from Radio Amateurs and their early experiments, it did !

    Respect where it come from..

Radio Hams gave you mobile phones, TV , Radio, the INTERNET , almost all the tech you use today come from Amateur Radio.

There’s a lot to be said for Amateur Radio ..respect it and what came from it.

Give it some thought maybe ?

I’ve tried to get tickets for the England New Zealand in the first week of July at Durham. The Bronze were selling at £55 a piece, funnily enough when the second chance sales came up only the Platinum tickets at £150-ish are available, however if you look on the ticketing sites the bronze are going for £200 quid each, just a load of chancers with no intention of going what so ever trying to make a few quid buying up the first lot of sales, I hope nobody buys them and they have to end up just about giving them away on e bay nearer to the day. The ICC should make an appeal for people not to buy them.

No Jib that foil thing is silly …you believe everything you read on Google?

I’m telling you about Homeplug and data on the mains coupled with RF from those home plugs it turns your house into a big antenna ..all the unshielded data is leaking out into the ether.. it’s a radio signal..unregulated crap ..manifests itself as noise on shortwave, DAB, FM, radio . Slows your Internet down 50% .

    It’s OK don’t listen.
