Newcastle Linked With Exciting Liverpool Prospect

There is a report from Sky Sports that Newcastle are interested in 22-year-old Harry Wilson who has taken the Championship by storm this past season.

Harry Wilson is on loan at Derby County from Liverpool.

His tremendous displays have Derby on the brink of promotion, as they will play at Wembley on Sunday against Aston Villa for the coveted third promotion spot.

Harry has made a total of 48 appearances and scored an incredible 18 goals with 6 assists for Derby.

The Welsh International was on loan the prior season at Hull City where he made 13 appearances and scored 7 goals.

This lad knows how to put the ball in the back of the net.

In just one and half seasons in the English second tier, Wilson has managed 25 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

Harry Wilson – has taken the Championship by storm this season

The left-footed attacker can play on either wing as well as through the middle as an attacking midfielder.

The report has Wilson valued at £25M and states that he is also being chased by Southampton and Brighton.

While this fee would be high for an unproven player, Wilson has massive potential. He is still young as he has just turned 22 today.

This is a link that is very exciting for Newcastle fans.

We just hope that this one is true.

Evening standard mentions man U are after Sean Longstaff.

They can do one. He’s going nowhere.

Its not like MA has a history of selling anyone he can make a tidy profit from

With the proceeds never to be seen again

This young lad sounds class. I’m just not sure why Liverpool would sell him now.

If they are selling, he’s exactly the kind of player we should buy, releasing either Murphy or Atsu to be sold.

What about Jarrod Bowen – 46 games, 22 goals and 4 assists – better option in my opinion!

Rob, exactly. Why would Liverpool sell? Just more BS. Players are more likely to come in unobserved until the deal is done, as generally happens. Liverpool won’t let him go except on loan. If Derby get promoted, he’ll probably stay there.
Like I said a couple of days ago, armed with my lucky crystal (marble) ball, we will be linked to 300+ players, 99% of which will be bollix.
    Gotta fill pages though….

Makes me laugh (or cry) when I read that Man U are after Sean Longstaff and willing to pay £20 million!
    a) He has a long contract here
    b) He bleeds black and white
    c) He will get more playing time here
    d) 20 million? Don’t make me laugh! Chelsea are supposedly valuing Kenedy at £30 million and you can see the sort of stupid fees some very average players demand. How much for a future England international prospect? £80 million?
    e) He is part of a squad with a strong team ethos. Hardly the same at dysfunctional Man U!

We need to keep young players like Sean Longstaff and build the team around him and similar players. Mike Ashley is the biggest problem; like most capitalists he is probably looking at short term gain, and will sell him and pocket the money. I can only hope that Rafa has him over a barrel, and can keep the players he see’s as the future of our club.

Hopefully, Mike Ashley has seen the light, and now realises that a successful team is easier to sell on or make a profit from. My hope is for Rafa to stay, and for Mike Ashley to go. Unfortunately, Toon22 is reiterating the ongoing problems of actions speaking louder than words as far as MA is concerned.

You can tell it is close season with all the inane school yard bickering. It’s like having the kids off on holiday and it’s been raining for a week 😀

I can’t see Longstaff being sold unless it is £50 Million+ as a full season like those 9 games he’ll be valued at crazy money.

Rafa said after the last game nothing will happen, for 10 days, until he’s back off holiday. All this recycled click bait by the hacks can be ignored.

Rafa on holiday while he’s negotiating his new contract? Surely not.

I imagine he’s at home with his family walking the dogs and driving his wife slightly mad shuffling the condiments around in football formations while his people finalise the contract.

The press had a game of footy at SJP the other day.
They must have been briefed about the Rafa situation bla bla bla is the logic being spouted on here.

Who on earth would be there who would know.
Ashley ? Barnes or Bishop ? Charmless ? Rafa ?
Vera the Tea Lady ? Sorry Tea Person.

If they did get some information was it made up. Was it misinformation.
Are we any further forward ?

Which Monday newspaper gives the most in depth analysis and interesting match reports of the weekends PL football, I remember The Times being decent, is that still so or could it be The Guardian? The reason I ask is that the FF football on here has got a bit serious, it’s £50 a man, so around £1200 for the winner if you pull it off.
