Quote: If Rafa Leaves – My Life Is Genuinely Over – I Can’t Take Much More Pain From This Club

Of course the main thing on fans’ minds this Saturday is whether Rafa will stay.

The talks have been going on since last Thursday and the longer they last the more chance there is that Rafa will walk away and not sign.

Fans also talk about Sean Longstaff and the imminent bid reported to be coming from Manchester United of £20M or £25M.

If we wait a year that valuation could be £50M and we should still not sell.

And some fans wonder why there’s reporting about transfer targets with Rafa still locked in talks.

Newcastle fans – love Rafa

We are told if Rafa doesn’t sign for Newcastle that life goes on.

We shall see – we hope Rafa signs sooner rather than later and then we can all celebrate and really enjoy following who Rafa will be signing this summer.

Remember – there’s always hope and miracles do happen.

🙂

One of our many good looking players.

Other games may be arranged.

Is this what the blog is coming to? Silly comments from a teenager about her life being over if rafa leaves? Dear oh dear Ed.

Perhaps you’d like to write a piece and ask Ed to publish it? It’d save Ed and Neil the effort!

I don’t think we will sell Longstaff, Man U can do one. Yes Ashley will be tempted by a big profit, but they aren’t going to offer the kind of stupid money that would be needed to prise him away. Youngster, homegrown, with the obvious potential and screwed on head to make it huge style.
He’s exactly the type of Geordie player to build a team around. Having a great young local lad in the first team is just the right thing to inspire our fans and players of the future!

Sell Lascelles for £25m, a solid English CB and replace him with an Ivorian who could be away for weeks at the AfCON? You cannot be serious, surely.

That tweet from Izaan somebody above…
20m for Longstaff? Hahaha give over!

More to the point, how many other gems have we knocking about in the youth system? Longstaff, with respect was relatively speaking a nobody 12 months ago. There wasn’t a clamour from fans to get him in, maybe a growing murmur from those watching the young uns diligently. Let’s focus more on our prospects and funnel them through!

Munster when there is no real news it’s difficult for Ed to churn out original articles every say. So yeah this is not cutting journalism but it does reflect the feelings of some fans.

Why not lesh? Lascelles has had a poor season and hasn’t cracked on since last season. We’re covered in that position anyway, so it’s not the end of the world that he’ll be out for 6 weeks at the AFCAP.

Could be an idea, esp if we get a further £25m+ in the kitty?

We can’t agree on everything – where would the fun be if we did?

Teenagers think their life is over if the internet isn’t working.

I wouldn’t say Rafa leaving would be the end of the world but it will end any illusion that Ashley has NUFC best interests at heart.

Its all well and good saying its not to bad if we get X amount for this or that player because we can re-invest it, but that never happens, the chunk ofit just goes in Ashleys pocket.

“If Rafa Leaves – My Life Is Genuinely Over – I Can’t Take Much More Pain From This Club”

Aw c’mon! Pull yourself together man!

Look, we’ve got our top man, 300 000 quid a year, “Lethal’ Lee Chumpley on the job. What more do you want?

……..and let’s be fair, it can’t be easy huffing and puffing back and forth, up and down stairs and along corridors relaying every little message between the pair of them, especially when your carrying a few pounds.

I’m looking at that transfer table that ed put up a few threads back.

But Lee Charnley told us over a 2 year period, we had a budget of 120m (including sales in £120m) and spent 109m.

    Can clearly see that.

    Too much hysteria abounds.
Even Ashley must recognise that we have the core of an improving team that can compete higher up the Premier League and in Cup Competitions.
We have a world class manager in Rafa
We have a fan base second to none
The future is with Lascalles (nagging injuries need to be resolved in the close season) , Schar (class) ,Lejeune (restored to full fitness and stronger ), Longstaff ( staying put and growing into his role), Hayden ( please stay, you know it makes sense ), Dubravka ( great keeper ), Ritchie (dynamo) Almiron ( raring to deliver), Rondon (to lead the line) and more.
That adds up to MOMEMTUM and that means greater success which equals more revenue for the club and Ashley.

If a few others such Diame are moved on so be it but don’t damage your core .
There’s potentially a great team in the Toon – let them and Rafa deliver.

Ashley needs to show his business acumen and stop behaving like a traffic warden and show that he’s capable of being successful. Or sell the club.

Here’s the main reason Ashley will not sell the club, for years people have told him that if he invests the club would be worth more money.

Being what he feels is big boy on campus and the fact that nearly everything recently he has touched has turned to shite, he will not want to sell and see Newcastle become the next Man city and be worth a billion upwards because that would be another nail in his business coffin.
