Agent Of Phenom Confirms Newcastle Call

There is a report in FCInterNews that Newcastle have contacted the agent of Eddy Salcedo, a seventeen year old Italian U19 international.

Eddy Salcedo-agent claims Newcastle contact

This is a strange report as Inter Milan have a €8M option to buy the young stiker which they are almost certain to trigger.

The contact by Newcastle may be to confirm with the agent that Inter are going to buy the player, who is a product of the excellent Genoa CFC academy.

Eddy Salcedo went on loan to Inter this past season where he scored 12 goals in 25 games in Italy’s Primavera 1 youth competition. He can play as either a striker or on the left wing.

With Antonio Conte set to be announced as the new Inter Milan manager on Wednesday, we would also expect that Salcedo will be formally transferred to Inter in the coming weeks.

If not, at least Newcastle may be in with a chance to capture the youngster who has a bright future ahead of him in football.

Seems popular down your neck of the woods, over 400k followers and being followed by Man City too.

Saying on twitter deal is done and welcome to the premier league.

I’ll take this with a pinch of salt. No point getting excited until it’s signed and sealed.

I would expect the buyer or the seller to make an immediate statement if this story is true and there is the usual silence.
Acoording to the Sun the contracts are signed and at the FA for approval.
Thats like an exchange of contracts in a house sale. Only two things can stop the sale. Insufficient funds or the FA preventing the sale re a conflict of interests as the sheikhs cousin owns Citeee.
So if both parties are signed up and the sale awaits approval by the FA (and the story is in the public domain) why is there no statement from the parties???

Somebody should be banging on the Sun reporters door. If this story is true it can only have come from the FA or the Sheikh or Ashley. Is somebody telling porkies?????
