Exciting Young Midfielder Likely Available This Summer

Marko Grujic will make the trip to Madrid on Saturday when Liverpool face Premier League rivals Tottenham in the Champions League final. The Serbian midfielder has just rejoined his parent club after an excellent season in the Bundesliga on loan with Hertha Berlin.

Marko Grujic– seems open to leaving Liverpool

Marko Grujic was a highly touted product of the Red Star Belgrade academy when Liverpool bought him in the January of 2016 for €7M.

Marko has made 14 first team appearances with Liverpool since joining them but has spent most of his first few seasons on loan. He joined Cardiff in the winter transfer window in 2018 where he helped them gain promotion.

Last year, however, he was really impressive in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin. Though he missed two months of the season with torn ankle ligaments, he made 23 appearances with 5 goals and 21 of those appearances in the starting 11.

The 6’3″ midfielder has just turned twenty-three years of age and has made 8 international appearances for Serbia.

While thanking the supporters of Hertha Berlin, he left open the question of his future in an Instagram post.

With quality young players like Ryan Kent, Rafael Camacho, and Harry Wilson likely to leave Liverpool this summer on permanent transfers, we wonder if Marko Grujic has a future at Anfield as well.

We have been steadily linked with Harry Wilson over the past few weeks and he is a player we rate highly. We also like Marko Grujic and think he is a player worth looking at.

Well, there are bigger fish to fry first.

Let’s see if this takeover proves a big hoax that all media fell for, and then we’ll see about new players and other contract renewals.

If it’s for real, the whole scene will change. Let’s hope…

FWIW, speaking today to folk in Abu Dhabi who follow this, it’s possible Sheikh Khaled isn’t ‘royal family’ at all; that he’s not a billionaire & couldn’t do NUFC deal alone; he didn’t get a PhD in War Studies from King’s College, London, as reports suggest.
Oh dear have we been done again by more Fakeover

Yup. Being more obvious that it’s a guaranteed fakeover. He doesn’t have the money like it has been claimed. Apparently we’d be able to compete with Bournemouth at the very least.

No proof of funds. No official bid. No official submission to EPL. fat hope of this completing by June 30. Until July we won’t have any signings or outgoings.

And then we have about 1 month mad rush for bargain basement or bottom of the list signing as the rest have already moved and snapped up.

    Shi* Ashley.

OP, yep, Neil Mitchell was interviewed by The National in their piece on the potential Sheikh-over (just invented that term, bet it’s been all over Twitter already – if not, why not?)

Ok have I missed something? Why all the negativity all of a sudden? Not royalty? You seriously think that in the UAE you can get away with impersonating royalty? Or even pretending to be the head of a massive company like Bin Zayed Group?

C’mon man, don’t be thrown by the journos and bs merchants that know nothing and have zero evidence.
Deal with the facts – BZG confirm they are in for us and are awaiting the completion of the ‘transaction.

Maybe Shadow Shearer is saying it is all PR from Hiya KBA? To what end?

To p!ss people off more than they already are? To build a giant bonfire of hate under Fatty if Rafa eventually leaves? If he was going to let Rafa leave he wouldn’t be building up all of this publicity to cause riots at his Northumberland store.

This was in the Financial Times article yesterday. I did post last night.

From an FT source about the Dubai group

“Fans won’t be disappointed,” the person said. “But we will have to manage expectations — we aren’t talking Man City here.”

He couldn’t do it again could he? The last 2 buyers wanted NUFC on the cheap with relegation clauses. That is not an issue now so this deal should be much more straightforward and we should know what is going on very soon. Right? Nothing is ever simple with NUFC, but maybe, just maybe, this time is different.

From what I have seen Brexit has a lot of people worked up and it wouldn’t take much to light the blue touchpaper and set people off at NUFC and Sports Direct stores. What benefit would there be to Ashley at this point in time to invent a fake Sheikh story? Even as cover for Rafa leaving it would be self defeating.

Sweet, this does feel different and dare I say real, with the news coming from the blue I expected it to be finished swiftly.

I had a look at a few other articles in the national and they refer to him as His Highness Sheikh Khalid so if its Mansours paper he’s definitely legit.

I’m not over excited yet but soon will be

All were hearing at the moment is contradictory reports from people – just like us – who have no inside information whatsoever.
In times of a takeover there will be moments just like this, where nobody hears anything and therefore makes things up from what information they have garnered.
One moment it look like the deal is on, then it looks like it’s off. This is another of those times when the only sensible thing to do is wait and see. Just like the Rafa situation – wait and see.
We can work ourselves into a frenzy with hope or disbelief, but the truth is, we’ll know soon enough either way.
If anybody actually knew the truth, it would be leaked by now. Nobody truly knows except those who are saying nothing.
Time will tell as it always does. What a bloody mess.

Ashley saying he’s dissapointed it is being played out in the media. After itceas leaked to the sun forcing a statement from the group.

Smacks of his old tricks trying to torpedo the deal.

Seems like a real bid to me but I get the horrible feeling he will tell any potential buyers to come in for the club. Then use any bid as his usual delaying tactics for player aquisitions and possibly even trying to engineer a situation where he blames running out of time to do a deal with Rafa on the attempted sale.

I hope the sale goes through but I think Mike gains to much from all this lovely free advertising to sell. Did you see him at the last match when the fans sang abuse at him? He was giggling at it like a Internet troll when someone bites.

Why should they do one for feeling like they’re being strung along? It’s not like we’ve been strung along before is it….numbnuts.

If we get backed and Rafa can sign who he wants and the team performs as we know he can make them, will you fcukoff?

Nar, they’ll be one misplaced pass or an open goal missed and it’ll be Rafa’s fault.

What a massive bullhead you are.

That cyber pint got necked, then spewed back in your face you cretin.
