Marko Grujic will make the trip to Madrid on Saturday when Liverpool face Premier League rivals Tottenham in the Champions League final. The Serbian midfielder has just rejoined his parent club after an excellent season in the Bundesliga on loan with Hertha Berlin.
Marko Grujic– seems open to leaving Liverpool
Marko Grujic was a highly touted product of the Red Star Belgrade academy when Liverpool bought him in the January of 2016 for €7M.
Marko has made 14 first team appearances with Liverpool since joining them but has spent most of his first few seasons on loan. He joined Cardiff in the winter transfer window in 2018 where he helped them gain promotion.
Last year, however, he was really impressive in the Bundesliga with Hertha Berlin. Though he missed two months of the season with torn ankle ligaments, he made 23 appearances with 5 goals and 21 of those appearances in the starting 11.
The 6’3″ midfielder has just turned twenty-three years of age and has made 8 international appearances for Serbia.
While thanking the supporters of Hertha Berlin, he left open the question of his future in an Instagram post.

Now when the season is over, just wanna take a opportunity to say big THANKS to Hertha fans on fantastic support during the whole season. Been an okay year for the team, where i think we deserved much more. Let’s see what future holds, but first of all-Champions League final ??? ? Madrid!!! ? #lfc #herthabsc
With quality young players like Ryan Kent, Rafael Camacho, and Harry Wilson likely to leave Liverpool this summer on permanent transfers, we wonder if Marko Grujic has a future at Anfield as well.
We have been steadily linked with Harry Wilson over the past few weeks and he is a player we rate highly. We also like Marko Grujic and think he is a player worth looking at.
