Still Conflicting Reports – But Possibly More News Today From Bin Zayed Group

Dwaia Alajmi is understood to be one of the lawyers representing the Bin Zayed Group in their attempted takeover of Newcastle United.

And there have certainly been some positive sounds coming out of Dubai on the takeover over the past couple of days.

But the Chronicle today are still reporting that Mike Ashley has not received any formal offer and until he does, it’s business as normal at Newcastle.

Whatever “normal” means in the chaos of a Mike Ashley led Newcastle.

And the Chronicle report that Ashley could pull the plug on the deal at any time.

So there is still skepticism coming from the local press, but this thing might actually be happening.

And it’s difficult to get the mind around how massive a positive shift this will be for Newcastle United with Rafa leading the team.

We could even hear something from Dwaia Alajmi today if the following tweet of his is authentic.

Don’t forget some Newcastle fans can be really creative with big news possibly coming out soon.

He says in his tweet that it will make Newcastle fans happy.

We cannot wait, but there must be a strong likelihood this will not happen.

It would be too much to take this week in terms of good news on Newcastle!

Can’t remember the last time I saw an actual quote from a source in the Chronicle. And in their latest exclusive bit of journalism they reveal that Ashley has not seen the money ‘slapped on the table’ yet. I’m sure all 350mil transactions are concluded in this way…

Ryder has played a shocker today. Slightly vindictive journalism in my opinion. Awful muck.

Dave I was just about to say the same. I think he’s the spoofer. Not sure but think so?

Can someone clarify why today was suggested as being a big day? Surely the prem league will take a while and there isn’t a lot more to add to what BZG have said?

Whatever the rhetoric on this deal – why should Ashley ‘pull the plug’ at any time’ if it is genuine?
He either wants to sell at £350m or he doesn’t. If someone offers that price why would he stop it going through?
If he does do it this time he obviously does not want to sell and should be shown up for the manipulative liar that he is once and for all. No more chances to play games
This time the fans should make a concerted effort to get him out in any way they possibly can with Chi Onwurah’s help or representation to the FA if necessary.

Why would Ashley pull the plug? Because he’s a 1000% thoroughbred tw@t

Just can’t see it happening today, didn’t they say it won’t get done until after rafas contract runs out.

Wyn, completely agree. Nufc fans haven’t been as aggressive or organised as rangers or Liverpool fans on the past but this wud light a touch paper if he acted as you said. That said I have maintained for ages that Ashley wants to sell if he gets the right money. We just havent seen an offer he thinks is acceptable by a truly credible party. Now we have it and I think it will go through. But can anyone clarify why today was supposed to be a significant day? Tks

Ed/Neil – THIS IS THE FAKE LAWYER… He’s a Man U fan living in LA winding us up.

Also THIS is where the whole ‘Friday’ obsession is coming from.

This is NUFC. It will all end in tears. No takeover and no Rafa.
Ryder reckons somebody is lying and it will either go ahead or not. Cracking journalism.
Ashley says he has received no offer and Khaled says its all done and dusted and the papers are with the FA.
Its all becoming a joke and typical of the way the club is run.
A lawyer says there will be big news today.
    Do not hold your breath.
More of the same “its almost over the line”
By the 30 June it will be a case of insufficient funds.
Onwards and downhill with Pards and big Mike

Jib, why wud that matter? I think there is a hól coming up in UAE but not sure why that will influence anything. And I think they lawyer was shown to be a spoof. I think this will trundle on but hope I’m wrong. Very optimistic of sale though.

Has anyone ever known an alleged takeoevr like this one where one party gives daily updates and the other one says nothing. It has putrid smell about it.
Nobody is so blind as the blind man promised sight by the witch doctor. Desperately wanting to believe.

Lack of fornal bid is no surprising, if they waiting for PL to do their hocus-pocus. I just affraid that those clowns in PL can make troubles for us. However, I believe when there will be legal green light for new owners, tranaaction will go smoothly. I don’t think that there will be any news today. It’s Friday, who in PL officess is thinking about big work today?
