Football League World (FLW) are reporting in an exclusive today that Newcastle United are interested in signing Birmingham City forward Che Adams this summer.
We first reported about Newcastle being interested in the then 18-year-old Che Adams back in November 2014.
FLW is reporting that a source close to the player has confirmed Newcastle’s high interest in the 22-year-old striker.
The forward had a good season for Birmingham last season scoring 22 goals in 48 total appearances for the club.
And since joining Birmingham from Sheffield United three years ago for around £2M, he’s played a total of 123 games with 38 goals and 13 assists for his club.

And he’s played twice for the England U20 side.
Che was nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Player of the Season award but failed to make the PFA Championship team, with the three forwards being Teemu Pucki (Norwich – 29), Tammy Abraham (Aston Villa – loan – 26) and Billy Sharp (Sheffield United -23).
In brackets are the Championship goals each scored for their club.
Tottenham and Everton are also said to be interested in the player with the source telling FLW that Newcastle are the club really interested in signing the 22-year-old.
Rafa Benitez, assuming he stays at Newcastle, needs to sign players who can score goals and his number one target is West Brom center-forward Salomon Rondon.
The 29-year-old Venezuelan International striker scored 13 goals for us last season and looked very good.
But Rafa and Newcastle will need to get busy soon in the transfer window if we want to sign our top targets.
The potential takeover by Sheikh Khaled and Rafa having not yet signed his new contract at Newcastle are slowing things down on Tyneside.
Maybe Che Adams is also a top target of Rafa’s this summer?
What do you think?
