BZG Sets Up New Holding Company – Looks Like The Takeover Will Happen

The Chronicle are reporting that a new company has been set up at Companies House with two registered directors:  Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed al-Nahyan who is likely to be the new Newcastle owner.

The other director is Mihat Kidwai, the Bin Zayed Group MD – who was the person who sent out the two statements last week.

The new company is called Monochrome Acquisitions Ltd – which seems to point to black and white – no real colors – so monochrome makes sense.

Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed al-Nahyan – new Newcastle owner

And the Chronicle reports that the registered address of the new company is Pinsent Masons, “the London law firm that has previously worked with Newcastle and have drawn up the documents on behalf of the Sheikh.”

It certainly looks like everything is being put in place for an announcement soon that the BZG group have acquired Newcastle United – whatever anybody else says.

This is precisely what happens in a bona fide takeover.

Comments welcome.

It’s starting to get interesting, still won’t believe it until it’s all official.

Diame and Roberts released, good luck to both. Wasn’t a big fan of diame but the proved to be a decent buy and had a great run in the side alongside Shelvey. Roberts never quite seemed to push on but should go on to have a good career.

Yarney, Juanito, Bartlett and O’Connor are some of the youngsters released.

How about this for a “conspiracy” (or not) theory:-

BZG did everything by the book, but then mash seemed to be slowing things down (as he wanted more cash/better terms off another suitor) so BZG leaked the news to The Sun, that then started a chain of events, mash couldn’t deny it, BZG confirmed it twice (thus forcing mash’s hand), then, again things seem to go quiet so, BZG instruct their lawyers to set up Monochrome knowing it would be picked up pretty much immediately, thus pushing mash even further. Mash is backed into a corner, BZG come out with the sale based on the heads of terms between Project Monochrome and mash and the deal is formalised, transfer takes place and is announced on June 10th.

    What do you think?

Yourself,Doubi,Jib and NY Mag have provided a great Q&A service keeping everyone informed and reassured when the sh1t was flying ,you all deserve a big thank you.

Would BZG set up a company if they hadn’t received FA clearance, or at least word that the takeover will be approved?

    I doubt it.

Wait for the numpties at chronicle to play this down and spurt their garbage such as money needs to be inside Ashley’s bank account and that is not done yet.

Closest to the club yet they know absolutely nothing.
Total fools and they paid for it.

I might be getting ahead of myself here, but thinking back to watching how the Man City guys go about deciding their transfer targets…this may be how ours will be decided in the future!! #excitingtimes

Just got sent a screenshot of Some Cnut on Twitter saying someone from BZG has released a statement saying they’ve failed the fit and proper test because Ashley wouldn’t agree to staggered payments hahahahahaha.

But can’t find the tweet anywhere and the guy that posted it (supposedly) is none other than a mackem.

Either way I will cry tears of joy when hes gone.

Would the Sheik want to be there for the unveiling or will he leave that to his 2ic Midhat?

Just asking as I doubt his 2ic is going to the royal wedding so Friday is still a possibility even if sense says next week.

Mac the jaffery there is an interesting but in that link.

Someone mentioned the company may not be genuine as they were using Pinsent masons and there would be a conflict of interest if that was Ashley’s lawyers.

Turns out Ashley is using Denton’s so no conflict at all.

They don’t make money from it, don’t go to games, what does Mansour actually get from it, do all the other rich Arabs tell him how great Man City are and what a great job he’s doing?
