There is news in the Mirror that Liverpool are definitely selling young Welsh winger Harry Wilson this summer. They have set the fee at the very reasonable amount of £21M.
Newcastle have been linked with Wilson since last month. He has come off of a very successful loan spell at Derby where he was able to score an impressive 18 goals.
The 22-year old, however, appears to have plenty of suitors with clubs across Europe chasing him. The news that his price tag is a bit more affordable than at first thought could allow even a few more clubs to become involved.
On the continent, Bundesliga clubs Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig along with La Liga clubs Valencia and Getafe are highly interested in the Welshman.
They join both Aston Villa and Leicester from England. This leaves Newcastle with a lot of competition if they are indeed looking to bring Wilson in.
Harry Wilson– in high demand now that price tag is set
Newcastle are in a standstill with all activity while this takeover takes its course. This will definitely hamper any transfer activity as it is currently unknown who the manager or owner will be next season.
We are likely to miss out on quite a few targets while this stagnation continues. We just hope there will be enough time left to get this team the additions they need to be successful.
