Are These The New NUFC Away And Third Shirts?

We found an interesting tweet by way of the Magpie Channel on Twitter that may show Newcastle’s Away and Third shirts for next season.

Below is the tweet showing the two potential jerseys:

We are not too impressed with these, to say the least. They remind us, in our distaste of them, of another shirt that was famous in its peculiarity.

Captain Alan Smith– giving his all in the yellow submarine shirt

We remember a decade ago when we were relegated to the Championship and while that wasn’t humiliating enough; we had to watch the lads play in those yellow striped horrors.

This could be a very troubling season for Newcastle fans if we still have Ashley, lose Rafa, and don’t have any fancy new strips to watch the lads play in.

Then again if we still have Ashley and lose Rafa, the shirts will be the least of our worries.

Top one would be OK if the pattern was all over. (it migh be because that looks like a dodgy photoshop) Not sure about the orange thing. Looks all sorts of weird.

A thought about the so called ‘Top Six’ clubs.

Last season there were absolutely and categorically only two top clubs, Man City and Liverpool. For the first time in the Premiership history a club earning over 90 points failed to win the EPL. (MC 98pts, LFC 97pts)

The other members of the ‘top six’ had mixed season’s, Chelsea and Spurs did just enough to come 3rd and 4th, but Arsenal and Man U struggled!

Behind the top six, Wolves, Everton Leicester and Watford had their moments. And will expect to continue their progress.

Therefore on August 11th, we kickoff the new season. Depending how events spin out through the next 90 days, we should have expectations of joining at the very least the top ten, (continuing last year’s second half form, should accomplish thar target) but we should be anticipating a 3rd to 6th place finish.

I must admit I didn’t like the mustard and custard strip when it first came out, however I did get used to it and looking back I think it was one of our most distinctive kits. Quite liked it in the end.

The top one looks like someone has tiled the bottom half of a wall but just left the cement to harden at the top.

The bottom one is just a bit grim.

Worst ever Toon shirt? Pav’s change goalie shirt from 1995. The pattern was eye-watering, but then they made it look like a diving suit with a round neck and huge shoulder pads. Urgh!

When I first saw the yellow strip it reminded me of the historic yellow flags that indicated a plague zone or an area of contamination!

However, as the season progressed I think (remembered) we won a lot of games in thar strip. Obviously that caused me to love it, happy days!

Any NUFC shirt emblazoned with the signage of a Chinee betting shop is repugnant to me

    Fake
They’re what the Chinese knock off shops started making from the last lot of leaked photos.
You can buy them now from some Chinese websites.
You can tell by the collars…loose stitching and generally poor quality
