Almiron A Big Hit At Copa America In A Disappointing Result For Paraguay

Miguel Almiron was a big hit for Newcastle fans tonight in Paraguay’s Copa America against Qatar.

Miguel had some slick passes and was the standout performer for his country as Paraguay took a two goal to nil lead early in the second half.

But Qatar were excellent throughout this game as they pulled back both goals highlighted by a world class strike by Almoez Ali.

In what was a disappointing result for Paraguay, it does appear that Miguel Almiron is fully fit after his recent hamstring injury.

Here are what some fans and others tweeted about Almiron’s performance:

Here are a couple of highlights involving our very own Miguel Almiron:

    Aye hibbit,
Telling us how caring and generous the Sheek is toward future generations shows they’ve really done their homework and we should now trust every word.

This takeover malarky is frustrating as hell and it does make you wonder if there’s going to be a conclusion, but, there has to be. Rafa’s contract is up in less than two weeks and no matter how much Mutley and Churnley want to keep their heads in the sand something has to come from them should Rafa’s contract expire. They can’t drag it on any longer after that, they either have to make a statement letting us know where we stand or the announcement of a new manager, if it is David Moyes then we know the takeover is dead in the water.

I believe that The slug is loving all this worry and stress he is inflicting, unless things go pearshaped we won’t hear from him again, it’s his final finger up to the fans,
Least I hope it is? If he goes then I will put up with this, I am not going to get stressed about it. I can’t do owt about it and will wait and see.

Some people look back with affection on signing a player who was as good as Demba Ba, unfortunately I only see it as part of an era that lacked ambition with no thought of the future and the talk of five year plans was made up my men with proven track records of being liars.

Night shift gone to bed, retirees reading the papers, people at graft, grafting, leaving only a man who can’t get a permit sitting here wondering when the next post will be 😮
