There is a new report in Mundo Deportivo that the Joselu to Alaves transfer is all but done.
The report chronicles the now surplus of strikers available to Alaves with the transfers of Lucas Perez and Ramon Mierez being confirmed recently and it suggests Joselu is soon to follow.
These three additions will join former Manchester City striker John Guidetti and young Bosnian Ermedin Demirovic to battle it out for minutes on the pitch.
The report claims that the acquisition of Joselu will become official in a few days and will be announced shortly thereafter.
The delay apparently is in certain legal deadlines Alaves have to meet before they can get Joselu finalized. There is no mention of what those deadlines are.
So it does appear that the first bit of transfer activity this summer will be Joselu to Alaves for a reported €2M. This is a good deal for both the player and the club as his time was certainly up at Newcastle.
Though we’re not sure how Joselu will find it any easier getting on the pitch with Guidetti and Lucas as competition.
