“Certain Legal Deadlines” Reported To Be Holding Up Newcastle Transfer

There is news today that Joselu’s proposed move to Alaves is being held up.

In fact, it seems the deal has been agreed for a while now but is not going through – yet.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that “Alavés has to wait until certain legal deadlines are met to uncover and announce the transfer is at the end.”

Joselu is keen to move back to Spain so he can get more playing time than he’s getting at Newcastle.

The deal was close to being completed earlier this month when the deal was reported to be very close to completion – but nothing has happened.

Joselu – waiting for his deal to get the OK

Not sure what legal deadlines mean in this context, but it’s intriguing.

It could be June 30th when Rafa’s contract runs out, and until then he could be holding up the deal.

We don’t believe that’s the case.

It could also be that nothing is being done until the takeover happens with the Bin Zayed Group – maybe.

They could have blocked any deals until the takeover deal is signed?

But it’s nevertheless an interesting choice of words.

Newcastle have been in a complete deadlock regarding the owner, manager, and transfers since the final game of the season way back on May 12th.

What a terrible way to run such a great club.

Not many players I’ve hated over the years, Obertan was one of them. I liked Joselu at first and thought he was going to be the steal of the century after his early goals, unfortunately I couldn’t stand the sight of him in the end, didn’t hate him though just he was bloody useless.

Jail, there can’t be many players I’ve hated? Maybe Marcellino? Managers on the other hand… There’s a special place in hell for Souness reserved by me! Man wanted the sack and pay off once he realized how out of his depth he was.

I think that Amdy Faye was the all-time most useless player in the Premier League era.

I also think Freddy Woodman will turn out to be totally overhyped. Demoted to England U21 3rd choice after a terrible tournament last summer. I watched it and his positioning was terrible, he flapped at every cross and constantly kicked it out of bounds. Still young for a keeper but he has to improve a lot to even get on the bench.

    Bills Son Is Back,
Selling to BZG might go a tiny way to redeeming himself for the two relegation’s, the countless relegation battles, the stated policy of not wanting to win anything, the complete lack of respect for the fans and traditions of the club and City, Carver, Mclaren and an eight year deal for a sacked league one manger, the renaming of the stadium and associating the club with the likes of Dennis Wise, Derek Llambias and JfK.

Jail – the player I hate the most is Michael Owen – he was a complete leech on the club. After reading Paul Ferris’s book it show’s he put his own career first and the club second – he could have possibly saved us from relegation but refused to play the last 3 games in case he got injured!

After settling on a price, purported to be £350m, its most likely a measure in place to stop Cashley selling the crown jewelry and in effect increasing how much he makes.
Would make a lot of sense, considering how much of an upstanding, honest and absolute gentleman he isn’t.

    Bills Son Is Back,
It’s pretty obvious you still hold a candle for Mikey boy, you can’t have loved so much only to lose your feelings completely. When did you actually see the light and realise the man has been nothing short of a disaster for the club.

I always hated Owen as a player,I never wanted us to buy him, he has the touch and technical ability of a wet sock and was weak as a kitten and buy the time he joined us the one little thing he had going for him(pace) had gone, by the time he left I hated him as a person, was greedy and selfish was quite happy to sit on.the bench at man utd and collect a medal and a wage for doing hardly anything.

Also I remember seeing a program where him and carragher where both taking the pee out of Shearer for being boring…How Owen can call anyone boring, have you heard him talk on commentary or interviews he is like a low IQ lobotomized child and as for Carragher he is just pure filth lol

Marcellino has got to be in the bottom 3 of NUFC players I’ve seen – but the person (I won’t say player) who was the most useless lump of lard to our club?

Right at the bottom of the pile? Stand up, Michael Owen! I was disgusted that he didn’t feel he owed us more after his injury……. and even more disgusted when he wouldn’t play in the last few games for us in case he got injured and messed up his “move” to Man United!

    He stinks!

Marcelino was on the sick for 2 years with a broken fingernail…….he has to be the worst…..Owen a close second, but at least he did things when he actually played…..admittedly,not as often as we wanted…….manager has to be Carver ( the self proclaimed best manager in the Premier league)
