Luke Edwards – Rafa Refused To Meet And Ashley Has No Plan B

Luke Edwards was on Talk Sport and had some big revelations to make about just how irresponsible Mike Ashley and the board have been.

Below is a excerpt from his interview:

So it looks like smug Mike Ashley has been left without another option for manager. He thought that he could exploit Rafa’s love of this club and its fans and wait him out.

Apparently the reporting this weekend was accurate that Rafa had enough of Mike Ashley’s condescension and there would be no further negotiations.

As it became clear that Rafa Benitez was not willing to endure another of Mike Ashley’s charades, he pulled the plug and had Newcastle make their terse announcement.

Now the club is in shambles. With no direction and no leadership. It was Rafa Benitez who kept this club afloat while Mike Ashley was his derelict self.

He has flirted with fire and now he may have just gotten burned. And like the great destructor that he is, he will burn everything around him.

Everyone is feeling the hurt with the Rafa news all heads are down right now.

If it’s like you say and the BZG offer is still in play and they just didn’t want Rafa to be the man to take this new project forward. I can say personally I’d snap your hand off for that offer right now both hands in fact. Rafa was like a god to me and to many of the Newcastle faithful and he could of done great things at this club and to be honest he already did even with the restraints on him.

I’d take Kenyon and David Moyes right now that’s how desperate I am. In fact I’d accept relegation straight to League 1 and the whole team sold with anyone other than Ashley i am that desperate.

    That’s a boss move
    Good luck Rafa
now we can sell to the Sheikh and hire Jose or Wenger

YFCB GET OUT OF OUR CLUB.
The Premier League management committee should decide whether Ashley is a fit and proper person to own a football club.
The players should refuse to play for him.
    It’s an utter disgrace

Well, quite a kick in the nether regions with Rafa leaving. I don’t blame him for refusing to meet again. They told him that their final offer was on the table at least a week ago. What does everyone think about the takeover now? My guess is the goalposts were constantly being moved by Ashley, or indirectly by Barnes under orders from Ashley. BZG at the end of their rope with this idiot, maybe? Either that, or BZG was never that close. They may have even pulled the same moves as they did with Liverpool, when they could not show proof of funds. Oh well. there are at least 2 other people/groups/consortiums looking at the club. Sure, and the sun will be rising in the West tomorrow. New manager? When? New transfers? When? I am so cynical now it is not to be believed. I have not been a fan nearly as long as most, so will be reading throughout the day everyone’s thoughts on the situation.

I’d like to think there is something going on but this is Ashley’s Nufc! He doesn’t get the dynamic of a football club; he thinks it’s a fckin department store where life just goes on!
Looks like Rafa’s called his bluff and told him to fck off!
Now, no plan b! What a shambles!
I pray to god there is a takeover soon otherwise it’s defo another relegation and that should do for him as they won’t come back under his ownership !

I really believe there is something brewing here… This was a bizarre announcement!

If there are NDA involved then BZG would of approved that announcement!

If no NDA involved then maybe there is no takeover… But I still believe that a reputable company in Dubai wouldn’t release the statements they did if they were not true

I just think there is something coming soon!
