More Nonsense From Ashley – He’s Crossed The Red Line – Force Him Out

Sunday Times journalist Duncan Castle has been talking about the potential Newcastle United takeover on the Transfer Window podcast.

And he has said that unscrupulous owner Mike Ashley has put a timeline of two weeks to see if anybody is ready to buy Newcastle United.

That’s not a long time since it was back on Sunday, May 26th when the news broke that the Sheikh Khaled led Bin Zayed Group were all ready to buy the club.

They said they had agreed on a high £350M price with Ashley to buy the club.

So what’s been happening in the four and a half weeks since the news broke?

And how and why does Ashley not know the situation of the takeover at the moment?

We think it’s Ashley who’s been delaying any deal because, in truth, he doesn’t really want to sell the club and lose all that cheap worldwide advertising for his Sports Direct company.

But this latest complete and utter shambles he’s created at Newcastle by refusing to give in to Rafa’s demands for more control over transfers at the club makes it curtains for Ashley on Tyneside.

And as we keep saying – if he’s going to sell the club this summer why is he so bothered about giving Rafa what he wants?

And we should let him know this is his final vindictive act against Rafa and the fans – there is no way back.

If, as expected, he announces the club will not be sold in two weeks (or later), then there’s just no way he can continue to take us down.

Without Rafa and a number of his top players, who will now undoubtedly want to leave Newcastle, Ashley could own a Championship club for the third time next May.

He cannot be allowed to destroy Newcastle United FC – it’s our club.

He’s never been a fit and proper owner at Newcastle, and we should do all we can do to legally and peacefully get him out of Toon.

Newcastle United will then come alive again – and hopefully under the fantastic and inspiring leadership – once again – of manager Rafa Benitez.

This blog will do anything and everything we can to bring this about.

Comments welcome.

He’s a spiteful, vindictive man who enjoys watching everyone suffer. He has it in for NUFC and it’s fans. He will continue to keep us where we are, doing nothing much but barely survive. He will see NUFC die before he does. The CLINT

BZG and Pinsent Masons must have succesfully negotiated with every type of greedy, money grubbing scum the world has to offer, surely some last minute hijinks from the slug won’t phase them.

Does anybody know How much money would SJP and the surrounding land be worth without a football club?
I’m beginning to wonder if that is Ashley’s plan. If let’s say the stadium and land is worth £300 million is his final insult to the city to void them of a club and sell the land to developers?

    Mister tuff
If it came down to that to get the deal over the line I would say ok fatty you can have the proceeds of the shirt sales for the next 5 years .
Once the deal is done you casually leak go the world who gets money if you buy one .
We then have the backing owner we want .
Wearing the new shirt anywhere becomes the equivalent of wearing Sunderland shirt with “I love Peter Reid ” written on the back.
The official nufc shirt becomes the lowest selling premier league shirt in history after one year and puma walk away job done .
The rest of the real world chuckle at mike every time the sales are released .
Meanwhile our creative fans groups design our own unofficial kit and its acknowledged as the most iconic shirt this century .
Sponsors logo …SBR foundation .each shirt sale results in a donation .
Win win and slug is humiliated
    ?
Oh and just to add ..
Once the five years is up the new shirt is realeased and guess what happens to shirt sales ?
Not only that adidas ( oh yes) agree to let our fans have imput into the design of the shirt .
The future nufc are then widely known as pioneers who allowed the most important people to the business to be involved in the kit.
By then of course we would have world wide membership off 1 million members give or take and every 2 years 5 designs are up for the fans to vote on which shirt THEY WANT!

ofd – that is the way to curb his interest in shirt sale – nobody buy them.
Surely they desire to have the latest top could be resisted until he quits having anything to do with the club.
Cannot remember fully but a while back was there not something about an old (ancient) shirt being resurrected to thwart the threat of getting sued by Tubbs.

Plus you would get the likes of Jib going in to but his rugby tops and him and tiny tom going in the get their shell suits for their Spanish holidays.

    Foggy hall,
You could but I want this new shirt to be regarded as toxic and anyone wearing it to feel ashamed .
It would lead to anyone wearing it who had secretly bought one simply saying its from dh gate etc..
We can get creative and wear any shirt as long as it’s black and white
There are some iconic clubs around the world we could buy their shirts until fatty is done with
I have an old kappa juventus one with ariston on it for eg which I have worn for years it’s a bit knacked but feels way better to wear than Ashley’s minty offering .
Not just that whenever I get others asking me why I wear I give the the reason why so spreading the good word .

Ed, I’ll say again, the sentiment on the blog seems to be that we don’t wish to see this fat, horrible man any more. Please don’t use his image on your articles. There are others that could be used.

How about an image of a cow’s ar$e? Or an empty vessel? Or even just an image of Daniel Lambert, the most famous resident of the town of Stamford, Lincolnshire, who bears more than a passing resemblance to our esteemed (!) owner.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Lambert

Alternatively, you could use one of the iconic images of the Ashley Out campaign

For Count: what I was saying was that I had been through the numbers days earlier and concluded that cash wise a protest wouldn’t hurt Ashley that much. Mainly because of season tickets and because match day revenue now makes up a small proportion of the total revenue of NUFC. With the ground full and most season tickets sold it would take years of attrition of people not renewing for this to have a meaningful effect on cash to Ashley. A relegation would have much more effect as we have seen.

That’s all I was saying about going through the numbers and I don’t know why you are getting so hot under the collar with me about it. I am not the first or only one to say it.

The other part of a boycott is the optics.

Hes seaped everything from the club from the bank account to the pitch.
The stadium and facilities are in dire need of investment not to mention the squad.

Newcastle is a one club city, and this is OUR club, we need this fat cnut out of OUR club somehow, the sooner the better.

As Ed says, he is satisfied at mediocrity, merely surviving in the premier league each season gives him a big fat pay cheque which he will not reinvest into the club.

There is NO WAY FORWARD with this guy fleecing us all the time. There needs to be a change and the time for change is NOW!

One thing though ..we just need to tone down the cockney stuff
We call him everything under the sun but leave that bit out .
We want all football supporters to help us get him out if you see my point
If Spurs for example were owned by ant and dec ( I know lol) and we’re been called horrible Geordie bastards would we take kindly to it?
Besides he is from Walsall 🙂 so it dosent quite trip off the tongue

So to optics. As far as Sky are concerned they will only show the protests if they see a big story there. If, say 10,000 boycott that will not matter to them. When there was the 11th minute “walk-in” they hardly mentioned it. Man U fans had the green and gold scarves against the Glazers for years and years, thousands of them and Sky hardly mentioned them. Sky stick with the agenda of their corporate pals I am afraid. And what would you expect from a Murdoch company?

Then you have who Sky choose to show. You have yer big 6 and then the second tier with the likes of us, Everton and Villa. We are still a big team and a big draw. Unless the ground is half empty, which I doubt very much, we will be on Sky. Who else they going to show – Watford and Burnley.

Count: I have not been disparaging or sneering to anyone who wants to boycott. I have explained my position as to why I think it will not work.

I haven’t got an alternative because I simply do not know what will shift the fat oaf. If you sing that he is a FCB he simply smirks. You can say I am defeatist and apathetic. Defeated more like because I don’t know what to do.

If you look at the history of NUFC, protests and boycotts have never forced an owner out. But this time will be different, will it?
