Young Winger Target Passes Spurs Medical Ahead Of £10m Move

It appears as though Leeds United winger Jack Clarke will be heading to Tottenham. Clarke and fellow Leeds United player Kalvin Phillips were said to be of interest to Newcastle in May.

The Evening Standard are reporting that Jack Clarke has passed a medical ahead of a £10m move to the London club.

At just 18 years of age, Clarke is one for the future. With Mauricio Pochettino’s links to fellow Argentine and Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa, he will know all about the youngster.

Tottenham seemed to have always had the inside track for Clarke with Newcastle’s reported interest vanishing almost as soon as it appeared.

These however are some of the transfers we would hope Newcastle can start making at some point in the future – hopefully the post-Ashley era. Getting some top youngsters into the club is something we have been longing for at Newcastle for quite some time.

Thanks for sharing. All in all a pretty positive day with the info being shared. I’ve always said to myself the 30th and the next few days after that are vital In showing what direction and future this club will be heading into. If it’s still silent then I’ll take that as more positivity.

Any positive news on here is very welcome. Surely we are coming to some sort of key decision point for the club? Monday should be very interesting.

    Sadly
I think Rafa will not be returning
Mourinho knows our potential purchasers personally
    Negatives
Rafa is one of the good guys in footy who really connected with the city and the fans
    Positives
    Mourinho doesn’t lose home games
    The SBR connection
    No more Ashley

Great if mp’s are taking notice of bad club owners but please don’t tell me this is down to you & your repetitive posts!!

The fact remains if you posted something right now about something you had found that could rid us of Ashley tonight I think 95% of people here would skip your post & not read it! ( as you have instructed people to do!)

How is that getting the message across?

Iv read this blog for years but only started posting recently but the great work by Ed & Neil gets wasted because when I see a full page of your posts I stop reading, your spoiling it!

How about this,if you spot as you put it “blatant PR” debate it with that person, call them out,see who agrees & get people onside! Imagine having people agree with your posts instead of skipping them, surely the “PR” would end if everyone was seeing it but because of how irritating the repetitive posts are less people listen to you!

There’s a lot of uncertainty around the club atm, well actually there isn’t, we all know how the club is run, we all knew Ash wasn’t going to agree to Rafa’s requests. We all know SJP Will be full, we all know we’ll not strengthen enough in the transfer window. And we all know we’ll be in another relegation battle.
Also the potential sale is a scam.

If you don’t like it don’t buy a season ticket.
    Simple as.

MP’s only get involved with football to raise their profile. They’re not really interested. Funny how MP’s only started taking an interest when the sport emerged from the 80’s, when it moved on from being a working class thug’s favoured last time and it became “hip” to be a football supporter.

Interesting and if you forget coincidences then announcing that Rafa’s contract wasn’t to be renewed ONLY after Owners an Directors test had been past ( final hurdle outside the 2 parties control?) does make sense if they truly didn’t want him but why not inform Rafa out of courtesy? Payback? He knew of liklhood but not timing?

I like many others were stunned at the suddeness of it and I thought it was usual miscalculation and over reaction by Ashley to Rafa’s stubborness.

Problem with these bits of information ( and I take them in good faith) is that coupled with leaks to press they don’ seem to gel.

What is the 2 weeks about – is that the gun to BZG’s head to complete on Ashley’s terms- but why if deal is actually reached and annoucement due?

On the other hand does earlier mention of press conference at SJP (forget by whom) fit in?

Well something else to look forward to in desperate times 🙂

Maybe it’s that notorious ‘line’ causing trouble with the takeover ? Remember all the times over recent years when the club just couldn’t get some player or other ‘over the line’ ? That line was responsible for some pretty god-awful failed transfer windows. Not Ashley or Charnley’s fault, I know, it was that damned line to blame. And now maybe the vile thing is stopping the desperately longed-for new owners ? Bloody line !!

Been asked to post this from London Magpies.

There are some Geordie fans meeting at the Orange Tree Pub in Totteridge, N20 8NX on Saturday at 2pm, they then plan a little walk down the road to ashLIE’s house after the odd beer or three, if anyone would like to join them? They know he’s not there but security will have to inform him of the loud, vociferous yet peaceful demo.

You get the idea, if the city showed support aswell. Bars and pubs showed the game, free beer for ticket holder/ st holders then no one would turn up. We could show the world that we mean business.
Council sets up the parks for the familys and people who dont want a pint at the game. Pubs and clubs sort the rest.
Win win for all at least we are trying.
Fair play for messaging chi. I toon22 it on here ha.

Yeah, just thinking for people with kids or those getting on a bit the thought of standing in a crowd around Strawberry Place/Barrack Road shouting for 90 minutes might not be too appealing. It’s got to be accessible to everyone, no matter how militant.
