It appears as though Leeds United winger Jack Clarke will be heading to Tottenham. Clarke and fellow Leeds United player Kalvin Phillips were said to be of interest to Newcastle in May.
The Evening Standard are reporting that Jack Clarke has passed a medical ahead of a £10m move to the London club.
At just 18 years of age, Clarke is one for the future. With Mauricio Pochettino’s links to fellow Argentine and Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa, he will know all about the youngster.
Tottenham seemed to have always had the inside track for Clarke with Newcastle’s reported interest vanishing almost as soon as it appeared.
These however are some of the transfers we would hope Newcastle can start making at some point in the future – hopefully the post-Ashley era. Getting some top youngsters into the club is something we have been longing for at Newcastle for quite some time.

Comment #121Today’s market move is for Sparky Hughes (around 5/1 2nd fav in places)
Mind you yesterday’s move on Ranieri into evens doesn’t appear to carry any weight as the same firm have pushed him out to 7/1 today.
Arteta is still fav at anywhere between 5/2 and 5/1.
Still just guesswork at the moment methinks.

Talking about a possible replacement for Rafa sends a message to Ashley – that fans accept his actions and that his treatment of Rafa, a man held in such high esteem by club’s fans for whom Ashley shows unreserved contempt. If he thinks he can do as he wants without reaction then there’ll be no limit to his arrogant recklessness.

The Orange Tree, Ashley’s local’d, make a change from propping a Wetherspoon’s bar! Might be a penny or two more for a pint but a man of your means and charm……..
